The trekking poles are great. I have a liver problem that changes my center of gravity weekly and my sense of balance is not very good. The poles are great in assisting my walking. I want to know if the loops are adjustable.

I 'm very happy with this purchase. The only recommendation for improvement I can make is that the cork handles come unsealed. Since these are going to be used heavily in a wide range of weather conditions, from the hot Arizona sun, Monsoon rains, and even snow, I felt it essential to seal the cork to ensure the handles hold up to the use I plan on giving them. I recommend UV- 40 cork seal. I have used it on fly rod handles I have made and it works perfectly, and lasts many, many years. Make sure to follow the application instructions on the bottle. Apply one good coat using a bristle brush. Make sure you do n't have any drips, runs or sags. Do not apply a second coat, as it will not penetrate.

Great value and high quality. These are definitely a little heavier than the carbon fiber poles from Cascade Mountain Tech, but i dont think I will be breaking them.

Just purchased these poles after reviewing my health issues. Being a diabetic for 57yrs I am developing some balance issues. Researching canes I discovered how anti- postural they are, plus clumsy. An elderly neighbor was seen walking with trekking poles. I thought that was a good idea. I purchased my set from a chain sporting good store and got some walking shoes as well. Studied how to properly fit and use trekking poles. The experience is natural when set up correctly. Walking gate and posture are enhanced and I look forward to many walking excursions. I live in the intermountain west which is perfect location to use this valuable tool.

hiking the uphill of the Scenic Trail head to the 9 Bell Trail to reach Archers Fork Trail loop is a big big big one for a beginner hiker like myself. With my backpack weighing 33 lbs total with food and water is a big deal. I was vlogging our adventure and the trekking pole only get a little hit of fame since its not being seen very well on my side of the camera... but my husband has it working everytime. We both have the same Trekking poles but in different color. Lightweight and very sturdy. We used it in a few more hiking trips in Yellowstone National Park, more of Wayne National Forest and the Grand Teton area. We want to rack up more miles on this baby and take it to the Appalachian Trail in 2021. Thanks for the good product.

Excellent poles for the price. Lightweight, comfortable cork grips, look good and do their job. They withstand the rugged terrain in NH's White Mountains.

I 'm really happy with these poles. I 've only used them once so far, but borrowed a similar pair from a friend for a difficult hike before purchasing, so I knew what to expect. The cork is very comfortable. A friend on the same hike had Colombia poles, and got a blister on her hand from the plastic that was part of the cork handle. So I like that these Cascade poles are all cork on the handles. I also prefer cork because foam handles from other poles I 've used turn my hands black. The hike was a semi- difficult trail 9. 4 miles out and back 3, 000 ft elevation gain. I was grateful I had them!

Literally used these poles for the entirety of the Appalachian Trail. Tips were worn by the end but that's usual for a 2200 mile journey. The fact the price is so good for the durability is great. One downside( and thats just because its carbon fiber) is they can snap easier. Had that happen to me a couple years ago when I crossed a stream, jammed it between rocks and slipped on it. But considering they survived 2200 miles means they are great as long as the user doesnt do something stupid.

I 've had these trekking poles for over 3 years now and they 've performed at the same level as my more expensive poles. I originally got them as a backup to my Black Diamond trekking poles that I 've had for 12+ years as I got tired of having to change out the boots when I alternated from concrete to gravel trail, which is how I use the poles most of the time. In 2021 I took these on a 5 day hiking trip in Olympic National Forest and they were great! The flip lock mechanism makes it very easy to collapse and expand the poles as they went in and out of my daypack. Since then I 've used them seasonally on trips to Colorado or just the local gravel trails when it's not too hot. For the most part I do n't really collapse them- they stay expanded in my garage, ready for use. Another review mentioned these making a noise- I have n't experience that ever. The cork grip is great if you have a smaller hand. My only complaint is on the straps, which there is a limit on how small you can tighten them due to the stitched felt padding.

We hike several times a week and go ~10 miles each time. These poles are never not in my hands. They have saved me from serious injury on several occasions. I have neuropathy in my left leg/foot that causes drop foot. I took a fall going down a cliff and the poles caught on a tree and stopped my fall. I had broken ribs, wrist and thumb, but it would have been worse if I hadn ’ t had the poles. Amazingly, the pole was still working perfectly and I still use today! We decided to purchase an additional set for each of us a couple years ago, and interchange using the sets. Couples we hike with also have Cascade poles, which speaks highly on the quality of the product! We have decided to purchase 2 more sets so we can keep a set for each of us at our 2nd home. In total we will each have 3 sets of poles. Similar poles cost 3- 4 times more, so save your money! Don ’ t hesitate purchasing these trekking poles. You won ’ t regret your decision!

My wife and I have used these for years for hiking. Then two years ago she had a knee replaced and uses one Trekking pole for stability. She is a medical professional and keeps her Trekking pole by her side as she makes her rounds. She has become a poster child for your Trekking poles as many of her patients have asked where she purchased them. They all remark how light they are and how they are able to fold up. Best poles we have ever used. And yes we are still hiking! She now needs to order new “ gym shoe tips ” because she has worn down the tread!

I love these poles. Have had them for 4 years and have abused them from ski slopes to summits of Whitney, Izta, Orizaba& Toluca. I was suspicious of how they 'd hold up to serious abuse, but they 've held up beyond expectations.
$109.99
For me, however, the biggest design element I look for in poles now is how the locking mechanism works — I love these clasp style locks vs my carbon pair that fails more often than not and is always telescoping into

[ These feel great! The included powder snow baskets is the reason I purchased these poles. The clips are quality, the handles have durable padding, the hand loops are strong but padded to prevent chaffing.

These trekking poles performed very well. I have used them on numerous hikes, to include the lower half, or non- technical part of the climb of Mt. Rainier. They stowed well when and survived the abuse of being strapped to the outside of my pack for the rest of the climb. I also used them on the rim- to- rim hike of the Grand Canyon. Make sure you purchase the appropriate baskets for the hike on which you intend to use them. Also, check the friction locks before you head out on your first hike. They may need slight dialing in, or tightening with a standard Phillips screwdriver. Quality Black Diamond gear as always.

Just finished 6 days through Great Smokies on AT. Bought these poles in a rush because I could n't find my old aluminum Komperdels. Loved the feel of the extended cork grip so that I could choke up on the grip going uphill Without adjusting length. I really thought the twist adjust mechanics of my old Komperdells Was adequate but the flip lock on these was sturdy and the extra girth( bulge) It gave the pole did n't bother me at all. Love them. Wo n't be sad if I never find my old hiking poles now.

These come in at 11. 3 ounces for the pair. The handles are comfortable and provide a couple of hand placement options good for gaining and losing elevation. The straps are also fairly comfortable and the amount of basket attachments is nice to have for a variety of weather. I 've put around 150 miles on them backpacking rocky and hilly Western and Central Pennsylvania and the tips have held up well so far. You 'll have to play with the locking mechanism on the pole so they do n't rattle with each stride, not a big issue though. I 'm mostly a hammock camper but occasionally use a trekking pole style tent. These poles held through a windy storm with a very strong pitch on the fly. Ultralight and strong at a great price!

My P. T. Advised that I buy these, due to my balance problems. I am almost 78 years old and find that I can move around in a more confident way. For the most part, I use one pole in my daily life; but if I am on uneven ground of any sort, I use both poles. I am very happy with the results of this move to a more stable way of getting around. I would suggest this to anyone with balance issues. Canes and other devices do not allow for standing/walking in “ perfect posture. ”

I love my poles. I have n't had much experience with trekking poles in about 15 years, but these fit the bill. A greedy little bush pulled one of my snow baskets off, and is more likely operator error( not putting the baskets on tight enough?) than the poles.
