Straps are solid and do the job. If I had one thing to do different, I would have used something besides plastic on the underside of the straps. I like a lot of support, so I pull them tight and the plastic pinches my wrist. Other than that with a little adjusting they work great!

These gloves are very comfortable on me and the Velcro around the wrist is very supportive and also makes the glove very secure. I feel like they are very well made and will hopefully hold up well.
