[ I love the feel of this jacket. It is soft and looks great as well as keeping me warm! It is not too heavy and is just right for three seasons of the year where I live in the Pacific northwest.

Like all other Mountain Hardware products I have owned, the quality and finishes superb. Be aware of the cut is a little longer at the hip than I anticipated, but it is still very comfortable.

I was looking for a comfortable, light weight coat that was still super warm. This coat is perfect for that. Fits true to size, is super light weight, but keeps me warm in the Iowa winter. It does n't make me look bulky and I love not having an annoying hood in my way.

Perfect weight for cold( not frigid) days. Easy to move in, very comfortable. Purchased for my 11 year old and the S fits her well( slightly big, on purpose). It also fits me but is snug at the hips( I am size 6/28 in jeans).

I did tons of research on light puffers before deciding to purchase this hoodie. I 've had it for a few weeks now, and I 'm obsessed with it. Perfect fit, surprisingly warm. I got it in Saffron, and people are constantly telling me they love it and asking me where I got it.

Warm and kind of retro! This down jacket reminds me of the first down jackets I wore as a kid in the 70 ’s and 80 ’s. I love the yellow color( my favorite)! I ordered a small and the fit is great on my frame. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ” and 145 and the sleeves are long enough for me.

I 'm not into the look of puffer jackets, but needed a warm goose down and landed on this design which I like better than the traditional design. The fit is great, not too loose not too tight. But, I debated keeping it for a while. I will be using this while speed skating on the outdoor oval in Lake Placid. However, it 's been very cold here in North Texas and I 've been ice skating a lot, where the rinks are kept extremely cold. This jacket is like wearing a hug. It is super cozy warm. It 's definitely become my new favorite piece to wear anytime I 'm cold. Excellent insulation while super lightweight. Plus, it 's a unique design for being a puffer. Does n't look bulky. Get it!

Great jacket, lightweight and very warm. I use it for snowboarding as an under layer for my shell and casually around town. Seems to be shedding a few feathers, but not too much concern at this point. The BEST part about this is it does not hold odors like polyester. I can wear this jacket for weeks without concern. Similar Patagonia jackets you wear once and they are basically ruined. Personally, I think the `` light '' version is better for technical wear, while the `` regular '' is cuter and more fashion- forward.

I am an adventure supervisor at a therapeutic boarding school in Northwest Montana, and I use this jacket to lead hiking, biking, and climbing trips in cool temperatures. I also took this jacket camping with me in Glacier National Park when the temperatures got down into the teens, so I was able to compare its warmth to some of my other jackets. Although it loses some of its warmth without a hood, it kept me surprisingly warm in those low temps. Overall, however, I found that the biggest positive to this jacket is the durable material! The stretchdown feels more resistant to nicks and tearing, and I can see this jacket lasting a long time. It 's also a plus for me that the down is RDS certified-- yay for animal welfare! I would not bring this as my only puffy jacket when backpacking because I would need the extra warmth that a hood brings. However, this layer would be really great for climbing in moderately cool temperatures because of how durable the material would be on the rock, or as a bonus layer to stuff in a pack for a little extra warmth. I gave this jacket four stars, mostly because of the fit. I am 5' 5 '', 120lbs, and I ordered a small because I normally like to layer underneath my puffy jackets. However, a small is too big on me even with layers underneath, and it also has a boxy fit around the shoulders. I would order an XS next time for sure!

If anything, it ’s just a little baggy, and long which is exactly what I wanted. ... For reference, I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ”, 135 lbs, athletic build and a small fits me well with enough room to layer

Wore this shell in both warmer and cooler weather with layers underneath. Loved the removable powder skirt, colour is more purple and vibrant. Wore in rainy wet conditions and stayed dry. I 'm a muscular 5' 4 140 lbs and the medium fit great with lots of room for a thick fleece or puffer. It is a longer fit jacket.
5
Emily
Kept me super dry all day through a snowstorm. It 's a BEAUTIFUL color, just as pictured. My only issue is it 's really fitted through the waist, so it did n't give me a lot of room to move as I was boarding.
5
IHeartSnow
I tried this in a small and medium, small was a little too small in the shoulders and medium is perfect. I 'm 5' 7 and 140 for reference.
5

Great shell the only thing is I wish the lower pockets were vertical not horizontal. A zip pocket inside and large zipper pulls. Solid and sturdy shell.
5
Amber
Pretty quality. I am 5 ’ 10, 170, usually a large but I ordered a size up for extra steez. I like the length, it ’s a little boxy but roomy enough for a beacon, etc. The front middle pockets seem good for when I wear a backpack. I like the way the bottom pockets lie, stuff won ’ t fall out easily if they ’ re open. The hood also seems to be a good size for a helmet. My only concern is the zipper pulls are very thin and light so possibly not the most durable. Also don ’ t need the powder skirt as I am a bibs person so kind of wished it detached. Otherwise very functional and looks good!

Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability—it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. Particularly love the internal long zippered pocket—perfect for storing important devices like iPhone or Garmin inReach.

This jacket is beautifully designed and well made. So many thoughtful details and a truly feminine design. Gorgeous sophisticated, deep, green color. Fit is a little more generous on this jacket in the hip area than the Lawrence if you are pres shaped and considering both. I can wear the XL in the Aston but needed a 1X in the Lawrence. Love that this brand is making extended sizing in the same great colors and styles as straight sizes.

New Yorker
It 's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali 's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

The technical aspects- length, 700 loft, attached hood, zippable pockets, and wrist fit- batting a perfect game. Most importantly, the fit is perfect. [ I just retired from being a park ranger so did my research concerning warmth, the ability to layer& leg freedom to hike& snow shoe etc. It dodges that sleeping bag feel w/out giving up the warmth factor. The high collar& hood fit comfortably. It is an investment which will hopefully pay off for some years as it is not overly Fashioned as to look outdated. Gotten some compliments on it. I am 5 ’ 4 ” 135 lbs& a medium checks in to cover derrière, mid hip nicely. Pleased& would encourage a consideration. EB
