I would n't force my foot through the pants while the ankle zipper is zipped. Again, they are delicate. Once you have them on, you are good to go. Also, these pants could easily be snagged on something and possibly rip. For the price, you would want to take it easy. These sweatpants were my treat to myself after I survived Christmas with my parents visiting and my husband having surgery. Splurge!!! Thick warm material. I ’ m normally a medium in bottoms and I could have gone with a small or medium but went with the medium for cozy/comfy factor. For reference: 5 ’ 3 ” and about 140lbs.
