We went to Dick ’s after school because the zipper had broke on my son ’s old backpack. He liked the Jordan one of course, so I bought it for him at the store. Ordered this backpack for my 8th grade son online because this backpack was not available to purchase in store. We received our order quickly. Everything looked good with the exception that 5 of the 7 paracord zipper attachments were missing. Normally it would not be an issue but the zipper pulls are pretty small so it would have been nice to have the paracord attachments that they are supposed to come with. Evidently kids steal these off the bags from classmates and in the store. My son wanted me to order another bag with the paracord attachments. I called customer service and explained that we received a bag without them. I was told that this bag came directly from the warehouse and if we ordered another bag it would also come from the warehouse. Perhaps the best backpack Nike has never made. Within a span of 4 years I ’ ve collected two with a third on the way. Well engineered and stitched together. I ’ ve use it as a personal carry bag, hauled it through congested city streets on two continents and multiple cities and even used a gym bag with all sorts of gear and at most two pairs of shoes comfortably. The side pockets can hold two 32 ounce vacuumed sealed water bottles without any issues. The top small pocket intended for sunglasses has enough ample space for additional items like headphones and a case for glasses. Fully loaded I ’ ve ever had one of these backpacks is at most 45 pounds. Shoulder straps are wide and really comfortable. The adjustability of the shoulder straps is effortless. The addition of the sternum strap gave more stability for heavier loads. The MOLLE style attachment points makes this bag even more versatile to add more items to the face and sides of this bag and has came in clutch many times over. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

My 9 year old son loves it. I got him the black bag with red letters and he was super excited that they match his Jordan 4 Breds. It also has a decent barrier between the compartments. He put a full bottle of water in the smaller compartment and it opened somehow and it got everywhere. But it barely let any water from the smaller to bigger part. I dumped my big backpack years ago and traveled light with a gray Herschel which seemed just the right size. Then I found myself with a book, laptop, sandwich( cause you 've got to bring your own food on planes nowadays), and electronic cables and batteries until the Hershel was running out of space. It's small enough to fit under an airline seat( see photo) but bigger and more organized on the inside. [ I found my new favorite backpack for every day use and travel. Whether I ’ m going to a friends house and packing a few things, traveling, or going to an amusement park. This lightweight backpack holds all your essentials and some with all of its compartments. I feel safe having my iPad in its compartment while filling the rest of it with my other things.

[ This backpack has effectively replaced all of my other backpacks with its versatility. It's built strongly enough to withstand the rigors of my daily work/life commute but crafted with such taste it looks like it belongs in any boardroom for executive meetings. FIT and FEEL: Backpack is bigger than it looks, and still fits comfortably when wearing for extended periods of time. The straps have solid padding and the Haul Loop is extra luxurious. No trouble adjusting the straps to my desired length. DESIGN: Sleek, understated elegance. The only branding on it is a basic Nike Swoosh on the front outer pocket, and even then it's the same color as the rest of the backpack to continue with the more sophisticated look. FABRIC: The nylon material used on the exterior of the backpack feels like its built to last and the interior polyester is also well constructed. There are so many things I love about this backpack. The Trolley/Luggage sleeve on the backside is such a nice feature to be included as this backpack definitely has the size to be used for extended trips. I also like how the interior laptop sleeve has a button clasp at the top to prevent a laptop from potentially sliding out or moving around if the backpack was upended for any reason. The drawstring allows for a wider opening into the main compartment but there's also a side zipper for quick access( refer to my photo). There's also an interior bottle sleeve that could potentially be used to hold sunblock or anything else you may want to keep hidden away.

[ This is by far the nicest backpack I 've ever owned. I debated replacing my diaper backpack with it, using it as my work backpack when I 'm out and about, or bringing it to the gym. Ultimately, I decided to use it for both work and gym. Now, let's get into the review, starting with the pros: PROS:* A stylish, modern look that fits a variety of settings — very sleek.* The materials feel premium, and the backpack appears to be waterproof and easy to clean. Since I haven ’ t had it long, I ’ ll have to report back on its durability.* Fits my MacBook Pro, all its accessories, and some snacks with ease.* It's also great for the gym. Spacious enough to hold extra clothes, towels, and sandals.* The are plenty of pockets, It offers ample storage, including a hidden compartment. CON:* Adjusting the backpack straps takes some effort.---- I absolutely love this backpack and look forward to taking it everywhere. I highly recommend!

[ I love this backpack. As a boy mom, this bag does it all. I appreciate its versatility. I can carry work items or diapers, toys, snacks, etc. from heavy items to lightweight, it doesn ’ t appear bulky. This would be a perfect bag for a day at the zoo or even hiking. I love the thickness of the straps and the quality of the material is extremely supportive.

[ When they say not all things are created equally, they are referring to this backpack. I use it to replace my work bag and boy was it a great choice. I can fit my laptop, cables, mouse, and all my documents in. The compartments and the side zipper allow for easy access. The draw string feature is great as many zippers tend to wear out and I like that you can losen/tighten to your own comfort level. The handle on the top of the back pack is really different from others and is easy on the hands when grabbing. The materials don ’ t feel cheap and they are easy to clean. I like the water bootle compartment as well as the slot to add it to a carry on luggage for easier transportation when traveling. I can see this being used in a variety of ways. I can see myself using it to travel as well. The subtle brand in the front is nice and gives it that high end look. The straps feel really well on the shoulders and the padding is great. Great backpack overall!

I purchased the `` Design your own '' Kanken. I am thoroughly satisfied! The colors are rich and I 'm pleased with the accuracy of the pigments compared to the image online. The resilient one
I have had this bag since 2017 and I beat the crap out of it and it has held up beyond my expectations.. The only thing I wish is that I could wash it better, because I am so hard on my stuff. I would put one more strip of padding on the bottom of the area for the laptop and two way zippers for the front little pocket, One other suggestion is for the side pockets where you can put your drinks it would be cool if one of those was a little longer, and you could zip it up.... This bag is very well made, nothing has come apart, nothing has had to be replaced and all the zippers are intact at almost 8 years since purchase with daily use!
