These are by far my favorite synthetic hiking shirts. So lightweight and breathable, beautiful colors, perfect fit, super comfortable, dries fast and wicks sweat. The raglan sleeves mean no seams for backpack straps to rub and cause irritation. A slightly higher UPF rating would be nice, but would also make the fabric heavier, so I understand the trade- off there. The smooth texture works well when layering too.

I have the Abisko wool shirt in the long and short sleeve models. When I had a bad fall in Argentina and broke my arm, I had on the long sleeve version. The arm was badly damaged, but the shirt still looks great. I look forward to wearing it when I get my arm out of the cast. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. I bought a Small and Medium and I 'm keeping the Medium- I 'm 5' 4 '' and about 140- 150lbs( 30 '' waist and 40 '' low hip, aka most of my weight is in my booty/thighs). The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

This fabric has a soft interior that is n't cold or slinky feeling. I got the Port color and it's rich, not shiny. I wish this shirt was offered in the same color in long sleeve for sun protection. The large measures 22 inches across the chest from bottom of sleeve seam, and 23 inches length from shoulder at collar seam to hem. Perfect length for me and I wo n't have to tuck it in but it is n't an unflattering cropped style.
