Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. I ’ m just happy I still had tag on old hat to find company to buy this new one. The old one I will still wear around house doing yard work. Needless to say after buying several different hats this if my favorite one for spring, summer, and fall. Thank you for this wonderful design that stands up to my abuse and keeps looking great.

I have been looking for the perfect visor for several years after my favorite was discontinued. Most of the ones with wider brims were just too big and made me look silly. I have a very small face. And you take off in the wind like the flying nun. These visors are the perfect length for keeping the sun out of your eyes. I love the lightness; however, I ’ m not sure how they will fair in strong winds. I also wish they had more colors to choose from. I like the light gray, however, it didn ’ t allow me to tighten it enough; The light purple was easier to tighten to my needs. I purchased this so that I do not have to apply sunscreen to my bald head in the pool or ocean. I used it multiple times for racing and swimming in the pool with Aqua Sphere goggles and for diving/snokeling in the Ocean in the Big Island and Kauai, Hawaii and it stays on like glue and does not interfere with my goggles or mask seal. You can even push it down closer to eyes and it stays firm. Even diving through violent Ocean waves it stayed on-- up to two hours in the water-- no problem. Protected my head against sunburn each time with no sunscreen. On one of my snorkeling boats I saw 2 other guys using this cap for the same reason-- prevent sunburn to the bald head.
