The Nouveau Green looks a little more teal in the photos, more dark green in real life. I wish the piping were n't chartreuse. But it's sturdy, amazing that it can fit in that small pocket, though I doubt I can get it all back in there. Expensive for what it does, but all recycled and Patagonia is a conscientious company. It does fit in the overhead bins, despite being larger than the 40L that is more explicitly aimed at carry- on.

Not* too* small where it struggles to hold the essentials. Not* too* big where it's cumbersome or an abyss for your belongings. Honestly, it's perfect for keeping everything I would otherwise have in my pockets elsewhere. Phone, keys, wallet, headphones, pocket knife, spare change, receipts, and the odd pack of gum or pair of sunglasses. Nothing goes missing. Just right. Usually gravity keeps it at my waist under my arm but I like to hold the strap and slip it around on to the small of my back while I walk. I love all the different pockets and sleeves for laptop, panned, water bottle, etc. I am using this for work and have no problem fitting my laptop and lunch bag all in this bag! Also, love the straps because they are thicker and don ’ t dig into your shoulder. I haven ’ t gotten it dirty yet but the fabric seems like it would be very easy to clean.

We own Thule luggage so I wanted to update my daily carry electronics bag to something more durable. Thule's bags can take an airport beating and still work great. I like the fabric and that it is water resistant. I like the pockets and the interior key holder. There is plenty of room to cart my work laptop and my personal laptop with all the wires necessary to run the dang things. I 'm a geek and they go everywhere with me. My wish list: I wish the interior was ANY color other than black so I can see what is inside of the bag easier even though I have 2 flashlights to solve that problem. I wish there were MORE pockets. Pockets, pockets and MORE pockets. Where is the water bottle holder?! It needs one or two. I honestly ca n't say I like the folding top but I 'm going to work with it and see if it grows on me.

I bought the 45L as a carryon while traveling, and it ’s perfect: large, open access enables much easier access than a pack, but with the shoulder straps it ’s easily carried as a pack. I bought a second for storing small gear: hats, gloves, skins, base- layers, ski crampons, etc. All those small items are now easily accessed and held in a central location. Yeah, given the burly design it ’s overkill for storage, but the stout design gives it a box shape, and makes for easy access and easy viewing to find items buried by other gear. Much better than a flimsy canvas or nylon duffel. Plus the sale price made it price comparable to those lower quality duffels.

I love this bag- prob one of the best travel bags i have purchased recently. Fits so much and is easy to maneuver. My only comment is that it shows dirt/scruffing easily…as a checked bag that is to be expected but i would have loved to have it look newer longer. A little background- back in July, I started on my weight loss journey. Even though I was going to the gym 2- 3 times a day and working full time, I would often use a reusable grocery bag to hold my gear. In September, I hit my goal of 25 pounds and treated myself to a new bag. I needed a bag that: 1. Did n't look like a gym bag. I did n't want a duffle look since I had to take this with me into work as well 2. Was big enough to actually fit clothes. Some days I would have two pairs of shoes, a swimming suit, towel, hoodie and regular clothes in addition to the gym clothes I was already wearing. 3. Had different compartments to hide my valuables. I put my wallet in my bag rather than bring a purse, so I needed a way to keep them safe as well. I did a lot of research, and I found this bag. The price was right, but it was online only. I had some concerns if it would be as big as I needed. Well, it turns out that it surpassed my expectations! This has been the best bag I could have asked for. It can handle all my needs and then some. I use the front pocket for toiletries, middle pocket for my wallet and the big pocket for my clothes/water bottle. My keys and phone go in a side pocket, and I 've had no issues. The best part is how easy it is to carry. I 've found with duffles or other bags that I would throw it on a shoulder that would then fall off. With this, I have no issues. It's so easy to adjust and throw on( or into the car). AND it does n't look super obvious at work that I 'm working out. So while there are a lot of reviews for this bag from student athletes, it gets a thumbs up from an adult gym rat too!

Solid bag construction. Pockets are big and club storage is nice with no tangling of clubs. A few things that may be improved: 1. Nice that there are two drink pockets but need to be slightly larger to carry a 32 or 40 oz water bottle. 2. The bag material gets dirty pretty easily and does not wipe off well unless you scrub the bag with a soapy detergent and brush. Just the slightest bit of dirt can leave a mark. Unfortunate if you have a lighter color. I have the gray bag and it ’s already showing. 3. The carrying straps aren ’ t nearly as comfortable as other brands that I ’ ve had( Ping, Sun Mountain, Mizuno, Ogio, etc.). All in all, a solid bag for the price.
