It actually feels cooler than the REI Sahara hoodie by 2- 3C, even though they 're both the same weight. I think this shirt has better thermal conductivity. It also absorbs sweat faster which helps increase evaporation. You can check by dunking both shirts into a tub of water. I felt much more comfortable with this in 30- 40C temperatures with high humidity. I can feel the difference under a helmet. It's more stretchy, and greater horizontally compared to vertically so you have to be careful not to stretch it too far in order to keep it's UPF protection so I wear a loose fitting size. The fabric is n't as durable as the REI Sahara, as it has more pilling after a few months of wearing 2- 3 days a week. The wrists seem to be more stained. It has more facial coverage along the neck and side cheeks near the ear because it has a smaller opening for the face. It's a round opening so it sits fairly symmetrical compared to the REI Sahara which has an overlapping stitch at the neck that causes the hood to twist to one side. It does n't have a drawstring but since the opening is smaller, the wind does n't really blow it off, unlike the REI Sahara which needs it's drawstring to be cinched to resist the wind. The only benefit of the REI Sahara is possibly greater sun protection from the side rear angle due to how the hood drapes, but less protection from the side front angle; cheaper price; higher durability.

Really nice sun hoodie, soft/comfortable material, keeps reasonably in heat
5

And it does it well. 10/10 for the hood, the sleeves and the torso. Protects from the sun- just as it says it does.
5
Steve M
This is a nice hoodie. It's a little thicker and heavier than the Echo, but that's also the point. It feels sturdier too. Shades nicely and cools well- do n't feel hot. The fabric feel is great too.
5
Ash
I wear the echo line of active wear when I 'm working out of fishing. The level of cool I get from wearing the ActiveIce appearal is unlike anything I 've tried before. It keeps me cool and I 'm not sweating as much as I do with the echo fabric. It does come with the trade off of being a bit heavier than the echo and not as breathable feeling since it's a thicker fabric. I will choose to wear the echo fabric when it's a cooler day doing a lot of activity and the ActiveIce fabric when it's really sunny and warm.

I bought this last year( Summer '23) while travelling in Banff, at full price and I could n't be happier! A true staple, this dress goes everywhere. It's light weight, breathable, dries in minutes and packs down to a tiny roll in my suitcase. It looks great on and is appropriate for work, a hike or a day out. I wear it ALL THE TIME- even extended into fall with leggings. Several people have commented on how much they like the dress- even stopping me in the street to ask about it.

Bought this dress while traveling in Sweden. It is the ultimate travel dress as it is lightweight, dries quickly( washed it in the evening and was dry by morning), never wrinkles, and has huge pockets. Looks great with sandals or sneakers. I also wore it with a sweater over the top on some chilly days and still looked great. Hits me right above the knee at the perfect length and I am a size XS. Can dress it up for dinner or walk around sightseeing or hiking all day. I am officially obsessed and am going to buy all the colors!

Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. Zippers are fail points for waters so we elected to minimize the water ingress points. Tl; dr kept us dry. Breathed well for intense, medium duration active wear

This line of shirts has become my new favorite for warm and hot weather. A gentle breeze comes right through the shirt cooling me off. [ I purchased the Light weight all wear hemp about a month ago and I could not be any happier. These suckers are spot on; waist, length, material... the term 'go to' seems to be overused these days, however it fits these to the 'T'. I 'm 5'10, 165 lbs, lean and the 33 inch waist has ample room. The length is exactly what I have been looking for, not too long and not Bob Weir short... perfect pool side, with a T, with a polo, even with a button down. I bought the grey and will be adding other colors. Being that they are the magical fiber, Hemp, I expect years of wear. Patagonia really hit it on this on.

[ I am an avid hiker and dog mom who is constantly traveling and getting dirty and putting my clothes through the ringer. These have held up great and they are incredibly comfortable and allow for a lot of range in movement. I typically would n't spend this kind of money on shorts, but I got one pair and they immediately became my favorite so I had to buy a second. The length is short enough to be trendy but long enough to have sufficient coverage.
5
Aeri H.
I got the shorts in both colors. The river blue is beautiful! The fit is just I wanted. I 'm a mom of 3 kids and the high waist perfectly hides my tummy. The shorts makes my waist look slimmer so not only these are functional, they look good on you too. I do n't go on hikes. Ever. But I still wear these shorts around town, when I am going out to buy groceries, to school, to chase my kids around, and just about anywhere I go when the weather is nice outside. If you are an active person, you will love these shorts for just about any activity.
5
Isabelle S.
I ca n't tell you how excited I was to find a pair of Fjallraven shorts that fit both my thighs and my waist! I love them, with the higher waist and somewhat flared bottom it creates a really flattering fit but does n't compromise the movability. Ca n't wait to start using them this summer.

This jacket is perfect in all ways. For my broad shoulders, fairly long arms, slim torso, the fit is spot on. Considering the numerous different fleece jackets I have tried on and own, this is saying something. It is a nice light weight for hiking in the Spring or for layering under a jacket in the Winter. Of course, it is great for casual wear as well. The Terracotta Brown and Dune Beige are refreshing colors. I aim to enjoy these for many years to come!

These pants are amazing. Very comfortable, easily packable, they look great. They are extremely comfortable to walk in due to the combination of stretch material. I thought my Vidda Pro's were the best trousers I had... until I picked up a pair of Keb Agile's in the sale. Hands( or legs) down the best trekking and general wear trousers I have ever bought in 35 plus years of trekking and hiking around the globe. Their first proper test was a hike and snowmobile up Langjokull glacier in Iceland and they performed brilliantly. The position of the thigh pockets is genius, and gives you easy access to items when sitting. The reinforced areas are perfect, especially the inner calf areas. These are going to get a lot of use and I expect them to be as durable and hard wearing as all the many other bits of Fjallraven kit that I own.

I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.
5

[ This shirt is amazing... snap buttons, comfortable material, comfortable fit, ample storage, can be worn casually or to the office. Despite ordering a darker color, this thing does a great job keeping the heat off you. I would order a whole closet of these if they were n't so painful on my wallet!
5

[ The material of this shirt is great, soft and breathable. It is very comfortable for hike during summer. Sufficient pockets provided. The downside of this shirt is that the use of material for the button made it heavier compare to Abisko Hike LS Shirt but still light weight enough.

[ Love this shirt- material and fit. While I normally wear an XL for Fjallraven( 43 Chest), a L fits me for this one. I am a trail builder and find this shirt too warm above 75 degrees with routine exertion. Cost is high for me, but I think it will serve me well.

[ Shorts are form fitting, but not tight. Material is of a high- tech nature, not cotton. Dries fast and durable. Material is n't stretchy, but super comfortable. On a side note, I 'm happy that there is no back pocket. Strange at first, but now that I 've worn them a while I appreciate not sitting on my wallet. Plus, not having a pocket makes the shorts a little more `` clean '', too.

Got this to replace a 25+ year old Nike ACG baselayer that is still wearable. I bought this for it's slick and soft material, color( I love brighter colored base layers) raglan shoulder sleeves and OR's size/fit. This is actually my first OR top I 've ever purchased and I am so happy that the fit is perfect in the body/torso and sleeve length. Follow the size guide and know your own size dimensions and you ca n't go wrong. I ca n't believe how this extremely ultra light layer keeps me so warm. I hope OR continues to offer bright color options for this echo long sleeve crew base layer because the fit is perfect for me. Not too tight, but not loose and baggy. Really impressed with OR's products so far.

I love these. The Echo line of long/short sleeve and tanks are my absolute favorite OR product. The fit is great. I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” and athletic. I work out to look and feel good and so often the clothes I find from retailers are made for guys 6 feet plus with a flat chest and no butt. Not so this product. I buy a size small and it fits perfectly. It ’s great for working out or working on the farm. It wicks moisture and protects me from the sun. I have the echo short sleeve and echo tanks too. My only wish is that they ’ d offer more bright colors.

[ I came across this jacket when searching for a synthetic alternative to my down jacket for backpacking. And while it's maybe just a little too heavy and bulky for my ultralight goals, I bought it because I liked it so much in general( tried in on in a store, bought it on Mossejaw). And now I wear it anytime the weather's a little chilly. It's warm, a great fit-- not too tight, not too baggy-- and the material just feels great. I 've also had it out in light rain for half an hour or so, and nothing soaked in. So it really is at least a little water repellent. Only con is, I do n't like the double, left- handed zipper, but I 'll get used to it. And who knows, maybe I 'll end up bringing it on a backpacking trip, since I like it so much. Glad I bought it during the big sale!

[ I bought this jacket a few weeks back in preparation for cooler weather. Mornings are now cold and my Fjallraven jacket fits the bill. I will use it alone as well as a top layer with sweaters and fleece.

I bought two pairs of these and I absolutely love them. I ’ m pear- shaped and short( 5 ’ 1 ”) and these are flattering, not too tight, and not too short. Plus, they have all these fun pockets without being bulky or silly looking. They will be perfect for summer walks/hikes or just cute with a t- shirt in the backyard.

Very comfy, great fit and generous pockets. I can fit all my essentials; phone, keys, wallet, lip balm, handkerchief, sunglasses. Only wish the flaps had a secure closure. The flaps are heavy enough that things don ’ t fall out and the third pocket zips shut. Still a win.

I will agree the fit is a tiny bit off, but the look is fantastic. I bought all three after day one in the blue shirt. The only real complaint I ’ ll have with it is how insanely wrinkled up they get in the wash. It ’s long iron job to bring it back to life. But, 🤷♂️. Big deal.

Love the fabric( the faint texture, that you ca n't really see online, adds some character in a good way) and seems really well sewn. The orange is a great color- looks even better in real life than on the website. As another reviewer said, though- the sizing... I 'm well aligned with a small in the size chart( and typically am a small in shirts), but it's really really big on me in real life- even through the shoulders. Definitely order a smaller size than you would have thought.

This is my second pair of these shorts because they have become my favorite hiking shorts. They fit snugly in the waist, but loose in the seat and legs. The pockets are the right number and in the right places. They do n't show wear at all.

[ My wife says if I do n't stop wearing these every day she's going to hide them. The absolute perfect short for hot and humid summer days. Perfect for hikes or any casual event. The stretch material provides plenty of ventilation while remaining tough and extremely comfortable. Waist sizing is spot on and length is my favorite. 10/10

Out of winter i prefer hiking in shorts. For this reason I have several pairs from well established brands. The Fjällräven Abisko Lite Shorts are head and shoulders above every pair I own. Totally reliable, supremely comfortable and exceedingly well designed. I have loads of Fjällräven kit including trousers, t shirts, shirts, jumpers, jackets, bags and other accessories. Not one piece of Fjällräven kit has ever let me down. Whether trekking across Dartmoor, walking the South West Coast Path or hiking Vatnajökull in Iceland, Fjällräven is my outdoor kit of choice.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability—it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. Particularly love the internal long zippered pocket—perfect for storing important devices like iPhone or Garmin inReach.

I work for the Depart of Food& Ag and spend most of my day in the field surveying& inspecting insect traps. This shirt with the extra pockets near the waste is amazing. Easy click buttons are nice, BUT, they have unspaped a few times if the shirt gets caught on something. I suppose I would rather have the shirt buttons un- latch than have the shirt itself tear. It's also nice that the UPF is strong. Another complaint is that is holds wrickles a bit well. However, all n all, it's a great shirt o highly recommend.

After wearing nylon cargo pants for the last 20 years, I have switched to these. They are very comfortable and the fabric is great. I did have to have a tailor shorten them in length. I also had the zippered pockets reduced in depth to eliminate heavy stuff like a cell phone banging on my knee. I wish they came in khaki!! Note that they run very large. I normally take a 39 '' waist but had to order a 37 '' waist and it is loose. I bought them for travel but now they are my everyday pants.

I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.

Really great shirt: comfortable for hot days and nights. It gets only 4 stars by comparison with last year's Shade Lite shirt. This one has slightly heavier fabric, and seemingly, a tighter weave, so it does n't breathe as well. On the other hand, the new snaps are much easier to unsnap than last year's metal ones.( I sometimes wonder if I 'll rip the snap out of the Shade Lite before it disengages!)

I travel quit a bit and wanted a pair of shorts that I could work out in, trail run, swim in, etc. Also wanted something that would dry quickly. These are great for that. I generally wear a shorter inseam specifically or trail running, but this inseam was a more modest and `` everyday comfortable '' approach. Got the shorts with the AirShell Hoody and together they 're a great combo. Would recommend as a all purpose trail short.

I ca n't speak more highly of both these pants and the jacket. Both stretchy and comfortable, and also breathable. Do n't feel like I 'm wearing a plastic poncho at all. And they kept me totally dry all day hiking in Peru during the rainy season.
5
Scott the Biker
I picked these up for winter fatbiking. Combined with a merino base layer, they are nearly perfect. They keep the cold air at bay and breath really well, like I have n't seen from other pants. Nearly perfect. As another reviewer mentioned, after less than 10 rides, the seated area has started piling. Excellent otherwise.

I bought these pants for ski touring, mountaineering, and backpacking and I have been nothing but impressed. The material is strong but still breathable and it repels water well. Reviewing this from the POV of an end user& tech fabric geek. Love the materials of the MH AirMesh. Already have the hoody; just bought the crew. Agree w/ those who say it's very warm when at standstill or w/ a wind layer over top, yet while moving or with wind and no wind layer it's like being naked. To me that says the fabric is functioning precisely how a base layer shoulder. Only con is hypothetical: delicate fabric. I 've had no issues with snags, pilling, abrasion, etc. But I would n't be surprised were I to, given the softness of the fibers and the openness of the fabric they 're arranged into. Cut/fit are unremarkable w/ exception of the somewhat high neck hole and the different accent fabric used there. Packs tiny, resilient fibers bounce back into shape immediately. Most comparable to the Patagonia Cap Air wool base layer, minus the itchiness/roughness and the ultra premium price point. Also, like Polartec Power Stretch pro, but much lighter and more airy fabric, fwiw.
5
Friestadt
I recently purchased a red version of the AirMesh. I find it incredibly warm for its weight. Packs down to nothing which is very helpful.
5
Ruff Ruff
[ My daughter bought me this shirt last year for my 90th birthday. In hot weather or cool temps it seems to trap the air and is the perfect shirt. I have gotten 3 more in sundry colors for myself, one for my wife, and a crew neck airmesh for my adult son.
5
Evan
In the first image, it is very light and breathable, but the fibers inside seem to be easily lost, and there are some fibers in the hand after a little scratch. I am 167cm tall and my bust is 98cm, so I wear a size M which is very comfortable. I bought 2 at the same time, for me it should be good for sweating a lot without losing warmth. I tried wearing it the other way around and it was a different feeling, like a normal sweatshirt. A very special piece of clothing, worth trying. When washing, do n't turn it around, it's better to put it in a laundry bag
5
JP
Love this shirt. Wear it all the time and have already ordered another one- so comfortable. If they eventually make a short sleeved version I 'll buy that, too. It's a great base layer and good for cool/cold weather chillin'. Be aware that there is zero wind blocking- it's a mesh fabric- you must have a shell if you 're hiking/skiing/walking to mailbox. That said- I 've hiked in 15- 20F with wind and just this base and a heavy shell no problem. Note: It's very `` roomy ''. Great for me, but if you 're a bean pole you may be swimming in it- think about that when selecting sizes.
