[ I was torn between buying M and L, ended up ordering a L long. I ’ m about 41- 42 ” hips, and the pants definitely fit on the bigger side: adjustable tabs as tight as they get, and still easily go over jeans or multiple layers with plenty extra room. I usually wear 33- 34 ” inseam, and the long version fits very well. I ’ m going to keep the L for easy trips to the rink or sledding hill, to throw over normal clothes. I 'm around 5' 4 '' athletic build and ordered a size large since they are described as `` slim fit '' and they 're perfect – fit is stretchy and not at all restrictive in movement. a little long but that's to be expected with snow pants and does n't matter given the way they fall on snowboard boots+ the liner. the straps are a little odd to figure out at first since they cross in the back, but it's easy to get used to. bonus is the zip to allow for quick and easy bathroom breaks in between runs! price point is obviously high but you get what you pay for and these will last forever if properly taken care of.

I ended up going with my normal size of XS after trying the XS and S. I 'm 5' 1 '' and 109 lbs for reference. The size small fit more oversized but the arm sleeve were slightly too long. If you 're between sizes, I would size up. My main concern was how cropped it might be and both jackets ended up hitting my waist at about the same spot so I went with the smaller size for the better arm and shoulder fit.

I LOVE this jacket. I do wish the hip area was more boxy and had a synch cord. It can be a bit tight on the hips even tough I sized up. I really like that the powder skirt is removable to get rib of the added bulk. I wish there was an outer chest pocket. The wrist cuffs are a bit bulky. The jacket is super warm but sometimes it feels like the seams are not windproof. Overall very happy with the purchase. 10/10 for style points.

The belt is functional which I was concerned about from reading other reviews, and it's a nice detail to add some form. Slightly disappointed in the color as it is definitely more of a purplish blue than a royal blue as I thought from the photos.
