[ I have a couple of these hoodies and I love them for outdoor activity. The material is light enough to wear when it's hot, but just wind- blocking enough to be good for a slight chill. The sun protection is top notch with the thumb- loop sleeves and hood, and the pockets are perfect for whatever small items I need to take on the trail/run. The one downside is that due to the pockets these can be a bit harder to wear under something else.

I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. I get very tired of so many women's tops going down so low that they get in the way of a harness, backpack, etc. This is perfect. It stays out of the way without losing coverage. It keeps me cooler than all other sun shirts I own, despite it being black. I can not say enough good things about this shirt. I purchased an extra large in black. I am about a women's sized 12 US, 5' 7 '', 170lb. The length of the leg was great and the length of the arms. When I squat and move my arms, however, skiing motion, they 're just is n't enough length between the crotch and the armpits, if that makes sense. So, I think the torso is just too short for my body. The weight of the suit seems very warm and soft. I really wish it worked for me.

This is a great layering piece for me, and I ca n't wait for the weather to cool down so I can wear it during my walks. The material is lightweight and soft; it's fitted and snug, but not like a compression shirt. The arm length is a bit long, but fits over my fitbit watch better than my other laying shirts, and the thumb holes are comfortable. I love the flexibility and breathability the mesh panels allow. Ended up buying a 2nd one I liked it so much. Have n't run in it yet as it's still too warm out, but have worn both in casual settings and just taking care of things outside on cool mornings. For me, it's the perfect sun hoody. I wanted something super light for hiking in the sun and just a little sun protection to prevent me from burning, because I still want the vitamin D. This barely weighs anything and I find it surprisingly durable for what it is. It's not tough by any mean, but I was worried it would deteriorate after a few uses. I have two minor complaints: 1. is that it's quite expensive for how simple it is. 2. The t- shirt version fit differently than this version, it was quite tight around the chest, I was expecting the same fit. The t- shirt version is great for working out in the gym on a hot day where they still insist you wear a shirt.

I wear one of these almost every day at work in the fall winter and spring. It is comfortable, warm, and breathable. It ’s light weight and very versatile. For me it fits true to size. The thumb loops are very helpful when layering with additional insulating layers and the zipper helps dump heat when you need to. Buy more than one so you don ’ t have to wait for it when it ’s in the wash!
