I bought the shoes because we own 2 large Golden Doodles who need to go outside or be walked several times a day. Sometimes we run. These shoes have gone thru mud, snow, puddles, and more, and never missed a beat. My feet stayed dry and I just rinsed the shoes upon returning inside and good as new. I normally wear a 7. 5, but sized up to an 8 and the fit is perfect. I really like the extra room in the toebox, so I can wiggle my toes. However, the shoes do tend to run a bit narrow, so just a heads up if you have a wide foot. The shoes easily accomodated my orthotic once I pulled out the insole provided.( Hey, Nike, these shoes should have a unglued, easily removable, insole!) Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase.

[ I ’ ve been seeking for a pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in long distance, can maintain its support, and ultimately be my go- to walking shoes for the 1+ hr daily walks with my dog. I ’ m usually splitting my time between three different pairs of shoes for these daily walks- leather Jordans for when it ’s slightly wet outside, rain boots when it ’s really wet, and knitted running shoes for the nicer days in case we want to jog at any point during the walk. Because the Gore- Tex is versatile, it was able to address all three case needs and I have been wearing it every day for the past two weeks since I got them. The inside is not as soft like some other shoes but it ’s also not too hard like walking on the cement directly. There is a slight bounce that gives me comfort in knowing that the shoe is absorbing some shock from my footsteps and when I found myself at the beach with them on, I was pleasantly surprised that water and sand did not seep into the front of shoes like it normally would ’ ve with the knits( mind that I didn ’ t walk into the ocean with them on and am referring to an occasional splash while walking on the shore). As for the design, I thought that the little weather icons on the shoelaces was a cute yet settled detail. I was worried that shoes like this would make my feet look clunky, but it ’s giving more of the contemporary fashion with an edge of construction workwear. Highly recommend them for a daily wear! I have yet to test them in arduous hiking or heavy downpours but my impression is that these will satisfy my daily walking needs longer than most other shoes.

So far, they have no `` hot spots ''. I normally wear a size 6. I bought a size 6. They fit true to size. My pinky toe( the usual blister spot) has no complaints. The toe box is comfortable- not too sloppy or tight. The heel( mine is a tad narrow) is also feeling happy with the width. My ankle bones are picky and a bit thin- skinned, so that was my hesitation on getting taller boots. I 've worn them several miles, and for several days, all day, and there's no hot spots on the ankle either. The stone color is pretty, and I love the contrast with the lavender colored laces. The laces are easy to change out. The boots are light weight, so your legs do n't get tired. It has n't rained, so I ca n't attest to the waterproof- ness of these, but the tongue is attached almost to the top- about where the eyelets change to hooks. The tongue is padded. I wore my zero cushion wool socks with these and my feet were warm and comfy all day.

I am so glad Sorel got it right this go around with this version of the sneaker. The prior versions had this strange intense curve in the toe portion( perhaps that was designed to repel water during steps?) compared to an older model that is no longer available. The toe box is roomy too and the waterproof feature is great for both PNW rainy days and wet days here in the Midwest. My only criticism would be they are quite flat/smooth on the bottom so watch out for ice.

I bought these for a trip to Italy. I needed good waterproof walking shoes that were not hideous. These fit the bill and I LOVE them. They are so comfortable and truly waterproof. It rained the entire time I was in Italy and these held up, and kept me from slipping and sliding everywhere. My one complaint is that they show dirt but the cleaning them is easy and probably could be avoided by weather treating them.

Let me start off by saying I am a true 6. 5, never a 6 and very super rarely a 7. I used their size chart and measuring guide and found that I fell between the 6. 5/7 so I decided to size up and I 'm glad I did. I have just enough room around my toe in the box, and my heel has just enough space to move until they really get soft and cozy. I also have bunionettes, and sizing up with a regular width is definitely giving them some room. They are very comfortable on my feet. I purchased the black, and I am very pleased with how beautiful these boots are. Much prettier in person than the picture. I will probably purchase a second pair that I will be happy to dirty up so I can keep a nicer pair. I am very happy with my purchase!

I decided to buy a new pair of winter boots since my previous pair( from a different brand) kept giving me blisters. One of my professors used to be a Timberland exec and he always raved about the quality of the shoes, so I decided to try them out. I ordered 2 different styles of winter boots, each in 2 sizes. I did n't love the roll- top boots, so those promptly got returned. I ended up keeping the size 9 of the 6 '' waterproof-- the boots had a clean look and the leather is well sewn and finished, I 've worn them to work and they do n't look out of place with my button- up shirt and slacks. The boots feel a little heavy while wearing them, but honestly I prefer that since they feel more durable and rugged. I 've since worn the boots both with and without thick winter socks and had no problems. They were comfortable from Day 1 and have n't given me blisters. My biggest gripe is that the shoelaces are too short- even when I lace the boots as tightly as possible, I am left with maybe 3- 4 '' of lace to tie with. The 6 '' roll- top boots I returned had longer laces than these despite having a similar style, so this was a disappointment.

This is my second pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair nearly every day, year round for three years until the soles wore down. Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. I am male, wear a men's size US 6/Euro 39 shoe, and have difficulty finding my size, and a women's size 7. 5 works with this shoe. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

I did size up after I ordered my normal 6. 5, TOO small. I was a little worried the 7's would be too big but they are great- I do have a little room in the heel but it is fine. I walk my dog almost everyday at least a mile if not 3 or 4 and these feel great. I should mention I do wear thin socks since I saw another review and she said she sized up because she wears thick socks. I do not own thick socks- they are not my preference. I got these boots for a trip to Iceland and ordered a half a size up from my normal 8. 5. They were really, really narrow. I then ordered the size up but those were too big and I sent them back. I stuck it out and after a week these boots fit perfectly to my foot and I wear them every day. I ’ m now looking for some Spring/ Summer Sorels I ’ ll be able to wear every day.

These are the third pair of this shoe I 've purchased- that's how much I love them. It looks good and feels great from the shopping mall to the hiking trail. I ca n't attest to their waterproof- worthiness, but I can tell you that the foot bed is slightly padded and the toe box is perfect for the wider foot. I can definitely walk for miles in these with zero discomfort. The color of this shoe is interesting; it's not a true purple but is more of a purple- taupe and looks great paired with almost any other color. This shoe definitely stands out in a crowd!

After purchasing 7. 5 I returned and purchased same shoe in size 8. Roamed house for a couple hours and noticed pain in knuckle on big toe left foot. This was a great shoe unfortunately the fit wasnt for me even with narrow or regular width size feet. SN The Dick's on Canal in Chicago was one day away from closing when I returned in store:(

[ I was very pleasantly surprised by the Motion Access Low Lace Up Waterproof sneakers. My expectations were not high as normally, I find waterproof sneakers to not breathe at all. I put these one and was immediately impressed by the comfort and arch support out of the box. I listened to reviews and sized up half a size, but definitely regret that decision a little as the 7 Normal width is just a bit too long for my 6. 5W feet. I took a chance and wore these on a day out in the city- walking several hours on concrete, inside buildings, up and down stairs. I had no issues with them, even with the sizing being a bit off, I had zero blisters with thin socks. They were extremely comfortable out of the box, and I did n't even need to replace the insole with orthotics like I normally do with new shoes. I love that they are waterproof, but still look very cute, and breathe. I do n't know that I would run/jog in these, but I can definitely see myself hiking in them.

I walk nearly a mile to my office in Boston, and I can confidently say these are incredibly comfortable. OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. I have tried SO many other brands without finding the right fit.... i resorted to hiking Montana's Mountains in luna sandals because i could not find a hiking shoe/boot that didnt cause foot pain. Needless to say sandals and mountains are not ideal BUT they were better than the issues i had prior to trying these bogs boots! These will be the only hiking boot i will ever wear!!! PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE OR DISCONTINUE this item!!!
