I had been following Padraig Harrington ’s YouTube videos on how to increase club head speed with the Super Speed Golf Sticks and using a PRGR monitor for the data. I LOVE how simple it is to use. Just turn it on and put it 3- 5 feet behind your ball. It tracks, club head speed, ball speed, carry or total distance and smash factor! I also use it for the Super Speed training and have seen my club head speed increase. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a simple launch monitor!

The Rapsodo Mobile Launch Monitor is very portable and can easily be taken to a driving Range. You need to charge it and download the Rapsodo App on your phone before heading to the Range. Once you are at the Range you set the Mobile Launch Monitor( MLM) 6 to 7 feet behind you. You have to remember to tell the MLM which club you are using. It will then record each reasonable shot and tends to ignore when you skull the ball. The MLM computations( carry, club speed, ball speed, and launch angle) seem reasonably accurate. If you want to know more about how far and how well you hit each club, the MLM is very helpful and a great tool. Moreover, it is now$ 100. 00 less in all the golf and sporting goods stores making it very affordable.

I got this launch monitor for my outdoor< backyard> driving range... and it was out of the box and ready to go in less than 10 min. It works as advertised and has lots of measurements handy to the avg. golfer. If you need more practice but just have a hard time going to course, this monitor gives you everything you need to `` see '' how you hit the ball... swing speed, ball flight and club head deviations/angle of attack. Great value for the price... I would recommend.

We used to use expensive and cumbersome laser gate systems to time our athletes which took way too much time to set up. We now switched over to the SKLZ Hyper Speed and it is so easy to use. All you need is your phone, the sensor and the band, and the compact tripod it comes with. Instead of testing day being an entire event, or if I just want to time my sons 40yrd, it now is extremely quick and efficient to do. All I do is open the app, connect the sensor, and we can time all of our sprints and agility drills. We also use the Hyper Speed to track Vertical Jump for our athletes. So quick and efficient to use we recommend this for all parents, athletes, and coaches trying to see the athletes results and help them achieve those throught their training.

[ Extremely useful for such a minimalist design with a robust battery life. Lightweight, low profile yet it has an incredible battery life with pinpoint GNSS accuracy delivered by a chipset that supports dual band satellite fixes. The Coros app by far is the best making route building and reviewing post work metrics easier than ever. Additionally, app doubles as either an interactive topo map during activities like hiking or trail running, but on indoor activities like spinning or treadmill running the app becomes real- time stat screen that is customizable by the user. The generation of Coros watches: Pace 3 and Pace Pro really deliver substantive features that are insightful to improving and refrains from producing questionable gimmicks like “ wellness ” metrics that have never been validated by a third party or university researchers. Plus Coros( and Apple) are probably the only company( ies) that are delivering routine updates& upgrades to their previous gen devices so you are not constantly compelled to buy the latest generation. Plus Coros releases model of a series every 3 years.

I just made the switch from an Apple Watch( I broke the screen 3x before realizing the Apple Watch wasn ’ t for me) to the Garmin Forerunner 165. Love this watch. As a regular golfer, I love the battery life and all of the additional “ off the course ” features. This has replaced my Apple Watch as my daily watch. The only downside is that you can not respond to texts/calls when you have an iPhone. I ’ m sure that is Apple ’s requirements and not on Garmin. If that could be changed, that would be a bonus! On the course functions are great. Took me a round or two to get used to it, but once you understand the functionality, it ’s great. I ’ ve messed around with other watches and apps for golf, but I came back to Garmin! Just wish those clubs sensors were cheaper as other companies include them with promos or at least a lower cost. I ’ d still recommend though!

I have been using this watch for more than a month and it is working out nicely. I had been using an Apple watch which was nice, but it had a lot of drawbacks- poor battery, it ’s display would constantly go dark and I had to fiddle with it just to see what time it was. Most important to me is that it wouldn ’ t give me a continuous readout on my heart rate, which I need due to cardiac rhythm problems I ’ ve had. All that is better with the Garmin. The battery on the Garmin is amazing, I can always look down& see the time, and the heart rate monitor is continuous. Also, the apple was not tolerant of vibration. Not good when you work in a woodshop all day. Plus I get all the other things that I had with the Apple watch like notifications. Also, it was less than half the price of the new Apple watch I was looking at. The only thing it doesn ’ t have is the pretty color display. No big deal to me. Overall I really like this watch.

Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

[ Bought this last month. First of, MJ was great in replacing the first unit I received, which had clearly been used( likely prior buyer had returned it after wearing it). The unit I received as replacement has been phenomenal. Very user- friendly, awesome battery life, and what is impressing me so far is that Coros is very actively improving its features. Just this week they started rolling out turn- by turn navigation. While music functionality is somewhat limited right now( only storage of MP3s on the watch itself I have no doubt this will keep getting better as well. But even if not this watch will serve me very well for running, cycling, swimming, indoor rowing, and many other things for years to come.

[ i did my homework before i bought the Coros Apex 2 watch, so i thought i knew what to expect when it arrived a few weeks ago. i expected the battery life to be longer than most watches that this compares to. i expected that the Apex 2 would have all the features i needed as an avid mountain biker. this watch is more than that. the watch is lighter and more compact than i thought it would be. i am not sure how they are able to provide the functions and battery life in a smaller lighter package. i definitely have no regrets with this watch and i look forward to all the adventures that i will take it on with me.

This is my second Venu! I went to Apple as all my friends said how good it was however I missed the features of my Garmin. I 100% recommend getting a Garmin

I had needed a new smart health watch after my Fitbit versa 2 died. Took me almost a year to find the right one and if I did want to get another one. The Venu 3 came well recommended and does just about all I needed to do. It ’s a great upgrade from my Fitbit. My only complaint on it is that you can ’ t select which apps notifications show up on the watch like the Fitbit did. Love that the battery last a full week using it almost daily for gps activity tracking something Apple can ’ t even come close to.

[ Great watch. It ’s not too big. It ’s comfortable to wear to sleep. Creating routes on it is easy, though the map is a little hard to see. I ’ ve had it for a couple weeks and I like all the data it provides with regard to quantifying exercise volume, recovery, and optimal levels of activity. As a personal trainer training for several athletic pursuits, it ’s helping me track my recovery. It ’s inspiring me to take my sleep more seriously. I ’ m still learning how to use some of the advanced features. I no longer carry my phone hooked up to my HRM when I exercise. Anyway.. lots of positive changes to my life after finally biting the bullet and getting a smart watch. I am now curious if I could have tolerated the bulkiness( in addition to the higher price tag) of the higher end model. But no regrets. Get this watch.

[ Decided to try Coros after years with Garmin. Sapphire glass and titanium case have prevented any damage so far. Coros app is also great. Highly recommend

[ I absolutely love this watch! The battery life is amazing-- I only have to charge it once every two weeks, and I usually use it every day for activities that are 1- 2 hours long. The GPS has worked great, though I have n't tested it out on routes that might have reduced signal. There is no 'mountain bike' activity, though the regular 'ride' activity works perfectly fine for mountain bike rides. I really like that you can customize the watch face for each activity. Overall, great watch! Highly recommend!

[ I bought this watch a month ago to upgrade from the coros Apex 1. I ’ m a budding ultra runner prepping for my 3rd 100 miler and first 100m in the mountains. Main reasons for upgrade was increased battery life and satellite coverage strength The watch is def an upgrade from the apex 1. Big things I love are the more detailed sleep data( light sleep, deep sleep, rem sleep) vs apex 1 only tracking light sleep and deep sleep Also the satellite coverage is a lot stronger Aesthetically I love the smaller face as I have smaller wrists

I bought this Forerunner for my husband who had a major stroke 3 years ago to encourage him to walk, stay hydrated and to track his sleep. He can walk with difficulty with a cane, but he only has one functional hand and arm. But because it is touch screen, he can manipulate his watch by touching it with his nose. We opted for a simple watch face that is easy for him to read.

While a Garmin is still not as “ smart ” as an Apple Watch, the fenix 8 amoled is starting to play in the same ball park. I ’ ve been very happy to return to Garmin for the sport functions after several years with Apple Watch and AWU. The battery life is still unmatched.
5
Ian M
I bought the Fenix 8 after a couple of less- than- optimal experiences with competitor products. After several months with the watch, I am convinced that there is not a more thoughtfully designed sports watch on the market. Everything on this watch just works, and Garmin has thought of everything. Even small details like the watch automatically ejecting water from the speaker after a watersports activity speak to the level of detail that Garmin focused on when designing this watch. The software is fast and fluid, the screen is brilliant, and the health and exercise data collected is precise and presented in a useful and palatable format. The only thing that I feel could use some improvement with the watch is that when I take a phone call from the watch, there is evidently a lot of microphone feedback, as in people talking to me through my watch hear a significant echo of everything they say. Overall, an excellent watch that I feel is well worth the higher price tag.

From backpacking, to running, to working out, this watch does it all. Instead of asking what this watch can do, the better question is what can it NOT do. The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight. Definitely not a watch that a beginner would need, but an amazing tool for an avid explorer and athlete!

I love it. I use it everyday. I charge it once a weekend but I think I could charge it once every 2 weeks which is a total upgrade from my apple watch that I had to charge every night. I don ’ t use the sleep app but there ’s so many features that I don ’ t even realize how useful it is!

I had the Epix before and it was a great sports accessory. This does all that and more. The battery life is the most noticeable immediate difference. First off, it's been a while since I 've had a smart watch, I believe a first gen Apple. This thing is amazing! I mainly wanted it to track fitness, as I 'm always concerned with using battery life on my phone for Strava, so having this has been a game changer. The battery life is crazy good! And it seemlessy integrates with Strava, and even Apple Health. And, it tells time too! There are so many functions this thing can do that I 'm not even aware of, but just being able to track fitness, check emails and texts, and see what time it is without having to pull my phone out of my pocket has been a game changer. It's been great so far...

Trading up to Garmin from Apple for the back- trac feature mostly, but man does this thing have battery life. My other watch dies in 1- 2 days, but this thing will go for a month or more on a single charge, and I can charge it from my cell phone. Really impressed.

I 've been using my Instinct E for about a month and so far, so good! Its predecessor, a Forerunner 45, served me well for about five years, but it was getting difficult to charge( I think it was the contact points, but not really sure). I like the new features of the Instinct- E; each watch proves to have its own personality and virtues. Anyway, it's a good one!

I bought this watch having come from the original Instinct that I ’ ve had since 2018. It ’s been a great watch. I like that it has the connect IQ to change watches faces. It is also a sharper display. The E has all the features I need. Most of the general population that buys these are not doing extreme hiking or marathons and therefore the E has enough for the gen pop. What I think they dropped the ball on is still having a two week battery. It ’s the same battery life as my original instinct. They cheaped out on that. It ’s should be at least a month battery. The only other “ like ” I would want is to have the torch( flash light) on this one. Outside of that. I really like the watch.

It's lightweight and comfortable for all- day wear. Battery life is decent about 3 weeks use. Charging is quick, longer battery life would make it more travel friendly. Functional smartwatch for everyday fitness and notifications also tracks steps, heart rate, sleep, and workouts accurately. Notifications from the phone come through without delay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a durable smartwatch.

I bought this mainly for the heart monitoring feature. I have issues with my heart health, experiencing bradycardia. My BPMs were in the 30s. I needed a pacemaker. I had the implant done. While in the hospital I was able to compare the Instinct 2 to the heart monitor, and it is spot on. Now that I am home it is great to be able to keep track of my BPM. Also, I use it to track my walking. The long life of the battery is extremely appreciated. I charged it and it showed 27 days of charge. I truly like this watch!!!

This has been the best fitness watch I 've owned. I used to be a Fitbit person, but since switching to Garmin, I 'll never go back. The solar charging feature with this particular model is advantageous for outdoor users. There are many features with this watch that might be more geared towards experts, but anyone can benefit from it. Personally, I enjoy the GPS features( on- watch map, compass, altitude, etc.), sleep data, and keep track of my activities including swimming with its good resilience to water.

I recently upgraded to the Fenix 7X Pro Solar and I am very happy with the touch screen, new features and extended battery life. The buttons also seem to function better. It gives more detailed info on your workouts and the GPS seems to be more accurate as well. I am glad that I upgraded although I kind of had to as after I fixed my old watch( cleaned the buttons as one of them was sticking), water vapor started to creep in and I broke the LED screen when trying to separate it from the watch face due to the vacuum effect from the water vapor. First off, the S50 looks nice. Really nice. Very comfortable and low- profile. The band is simply awesome. Off the course, it looks clean yet athletic. One of the biggest surprises for me was how much the detailed metrics opened my eyes to things I wasn ’ t even accounting for before—like recovery time, heart rate variability, and sleep quality. I used to just track basic distance and time, but this watch really shows you the full picture of your health and performance. It's helped me make smarter decisions about training, rest, and even daily stress management. The build quality is amazing too—super tough yet surprisingly lightweight for how durable it feels. The sapphire crystal and solar charging are a game- changer; I barely worry about battery life even with heavy GPS use. Navigation features are also top- tier, and I love how intuitive the touchscreen is without sacrificing the classic button setup. Another huge plus: the mapping and outdoor features are incredibly detailed. Whether I ’ m running, hiking, or cycling, the watch keeps me locked into the route and even alerts me if I go off track. It ’s truly a complete adventure companion. If you want something that not only tracks your workouts but genuinely helps you optimize your lifestyle, this watch is worth it.

HikerFL
I bought this a month ago when I saw they were getting rid of them for the Fenix 8's. I had done a product comparison on the site before, and the only thing the 8 had the 7 did n't was an AMOLED screen, and slightly better waterproof rating for the new dive features. That was it. Not enough for me to want the 8 over the 7, or justify the large price difference. Beyond that, this is a huge upgrade for me from my fitbit. I wanted a watch that would be durable and have a longer lasting battery than the Apple or Google watches. I loved it could have increased accurate GPS coverage and maps for when I go hiking. My sister has the Apple and her battery not only dies before a long hike is over, but the GPS is n't as accurate. The health metrics seem to be in depth compared to the fitbit, and I like seeing my training status and load efficiency. I tested this battery last week. Any time you start a GPS related activity it zaps the battery more. I was also out in full sun often so this helped. I was able to log a hike+ 3 short kayaking sessions on one charge, and it lasted 11 days before needing a charge.( I did not have any smart phone notifications turned on) If you 're looking for a watch that's geared more towards those who are into outdoor recreation for their exercise, and has the rugged durability to survive these activities, this watch is for you. If you need just a smart watch for time, emails, and what not this watch might be overkill for what you 're looking for.
