These balls are nice quality. They are solid with a slight squishy feeling. When used in the heater pitching machine they come out slower because of their weight. If they get wet or damp they are even slower through the machine. My not have enough velocity to make it farther than 10 feet when wet.( wet because the grass is damp) When dry they can go far enough to simulate a pitcher. Not perfectly but enough for back yard practice.

We have a single wheel Jugs machine and an old 2 wheel Curve Master machine. We had been using older practice balls and could n't get control of the break on the curve machine, and both machines would tear up buckets of practice balls. These dimple balls stay consistent off the machine, and the players are more comfortable in the box. The ball sounds right off the bat, I just do n't let them use composite bats and prefer they use practice bats. Have n't used them long enough to know how they affect bats. It actually does have a port for an ac/dc adapter but the cord was not included. Luckily we had an extra one which worked great. Machine is easy to use and adjust. The kids love it. Heater over delivered on the Heater Pro Curveball Pitching Machine, it's the single best single wheel real baseball pitching machine I have ever seen. Before delivery I was somewhat skeptical but I was impressed immediately with the construction and the easy of assembly, I fired the first ball out my front door 15 minutes after it was delivered. I will say this, speed 10, 50 MPH at 46- 50 feet is going to overpower most kids under 12, it seems more like a mid 80's pitch from that range so if you have a small cage 50 foot or smaller this is your ideal machine as the kids wo n't outgrow it for a few years. I 've shown this to several coaches and they all said the same that it throws much harder than what it advertises. Great machine and the price is fantastic.

I purchased this a few weeks ago in order to work on batting and fielding skills with my 12 y/o son who is playing his second year of little league. A big factor in choosing this over other machines was the ability to go anywhere without being confined to an electric outlet. The machine is surprisingly consistent and we are utilizing both Heater balls and baseballs. You do lose a little speed and distance when using actually baseballs but that was expected and easily adjusted for. So far pop fly and pitching settings have been great. Haven ’ t utilized ground ball settings yet. The key to proper use is being consistent with how you set the arm while loading and maintaining a consistent steady pull each time. Would recommend this if in the market for a pitching machine and not wanting to spend a fortune.

I bought one more than three years ago directly from Jugs. Still use it a LOT! It's fantastic! The on- off switch became sticky but I was able to replace it myself and the part was very inexpensive. Excellent for working on batting mechanics. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought this soft toss machine. It tosses baseball or softball to a batter. It runs off a 12 volt rechargeable battery. I have a 20 year old one I bought brand new. It works perfect after all these years. I replaced the batter every so often. I had to replace the arm on it after the 12 year. I called jugs for the part. I sent them the picture of my old machine and model# they sent me the arm free of charge. I own 3 today because I coach and do camps. I have zero issues with any of then except replacing the battery's. I found a good trick to preserving the battery's. I bought a trickle charger at harbor freight. I hooked up this trickle charger to the battery. I drilled a hole for the wire to come out of the machine. I then put a connection on the outside for the charger. I plug in my machine at night when not in use to the trickle charger. My battery's last 2 to 3 years and ready to go any time with out over charging my battery's. I made wooden cases for my machine with foam inside for safe travel. Work horse machine. Love jugs machines. All there products are quality stuff. I only by jugs products.

It does what it says... we put it to the side of the plate loaded it with baseballs and set it up to run... it takes a few tries to recognize the sound and time the pitches.

Purchased this as a Xmas gift for my kids that play both little league softball and baseball. Agree with others that switching the assembly between softball and baseball takes a couple minutes and is n't really feasible in the same session. Otherwise it is consistent and will meet my kids needs for the foreseeable future.

I ’ ve been using this machine for 2 weeks now and it ’s working out great. The pitches are all strikes but not exactly the same place so it ’s not too easy. It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. My daughter feels like the low profile legs give her pretty realistic look at how pitches come at her on the games which is a huge plus compared to having hit her off the baseball machines. It was a bit pricey being$ 500 over the machine that throws 60 mph( this one is 70) so I hope my kids are still using it when they face that velocity. I would recommend product!
