So it's been 2 months and I 've been smoking like a mad Man. This was a replacement for an Oklahoma Joe's longhorn. I always smoked with pure oak and it was very difficult to control the temperature. This smoker is ridiculously simple. I 've done pulled pork, homemade pastrami, ribs, and brisket. I was also very pleasantly surprised about the Wi- Fi and wireless. I was able to check the temperatures when I had to go out somewhere just in case. This is for a long smoke on a brisket is pretty handy. I also purchased the sides seer which include a ridiculously large BTU burner. That burner has been phenomenal for searing sous vide steaks in under a minute. One thing I did not initially buy was the griddle, but I ordered that and with the sides here burner it is one of the handiest griddles I 've ever used, best temperature control over the whole area. I have a high- end gas stove in the house and it's griddle does n't come close to how good the temperature control is. My one recommendation is somehow that I do n't have to throw away that shelf and use it or mount it at the bottom. You can see that I made my own modification to put that shelf instead of throwing it away to mount on the bottom.

I purchased my Woodridge grill a few weeks ago and have cooked on it four times so far. I absolutely love this wood pellet grill. Being able to control all aspects of cooking by using the Traeger app on my phone is amazing. One of the things the app does is alert me when the meat I am cooking has reached the desired internal temperature. Because of this, I can check on the status of what I am cooking from anywhere. If you purchase a Traeger grill, the wifi feature is definitely worth the money.

I had a competitor ’s grill for over 5- years but found I was always looking at Traeger, wishing I had one. I bought a Woodridge and I love it. I love the digital display, how I can turn the dial to any temperature I want or need. I love the WiFi connection and how I can control the whole cook and pre- heat process from my phone. I also love the way this grill is constructed. It ’s heavy and it ’s sturdy. The enameled finish is beautiful and the engineering is like none I ’ ve seen thus far. I have owned many grills and smokers. The Traeger Ironwood is by far the best. The largest issue of owning a pellet grill is the maintenance. If you use it a lot and do n't clean out the ash box and the grease build up it can create many issues. The design of the Ironwood makes cleaning almost fun. It is by FAR the simplistic cleaning process for any pellet fed. The Traeger also rules king for all the other very important items, temp regulation, waterproof design, superior app connectivity, durability all design, etc. My only complaint would be the probe situation. The wired probes work flawlessly. I do n't like that we are restricted to a certain wireless probe that works directly with the Traeger app though. This is not a large issue, they do have a wireless option and I have not used it, but I do n't want to be tied to one wireless option. I am sure they have the capability to integrate their app with other wireless probe manufacturers which could resolve this issue.

I have been waiting for this grill to come back in stock for over a year. When I saw it was available to order( April 2024), I couldn ’ t get it into my cart fast enough. I ’ m someone who appreciates multi- functionality and wise utilization of space. This grill is the only reasonably priced propane/pellet combo that I have found that offers the ability to do both in the same chamber. This is my first smoker. It was totally worth the wait. I expected it to be a little more complicated to operate but it is super simple- Easier than my instant pot! Everything we have tried so far has been delicious and lightly smoky. I can ’ t wait to try more recipes!

I was searching for a new gas grill that also gave me the option to add smoke to my cooking. There are n't that many compact grills that fit my small space that are also smokers. When I found this grill I was very excited, especially when I learned it was also made in the USA. Ordered online, and received a great product. While I 've only cooked two or three times with the grill, I have been very pleased with the results. The probe that came with the unit was a surprise. While not as accurate as my other instant read probe, I calibrated it using some boiling water and now I know about where it reads. Volumetrically, it does n't compare to a Weber Kettle, and I am not sure I will use it for smoke only applications, but that is n't what I bought it for. Gas grills are great because they are quick for after work dinners, or hot dogs on a Saturday for lunch. Adding the smoke to the equation makes up for some of the size drawbacks. Thanks for a great product.

[ Some assembly required but well worth the effort, crack a beer and take you time this is your new smoker! Make sure you plan a burn off of the protective coating that is applied to interior metal part to protect against corrosion, this step is kinda buried in the manual. After these first few steps you are ready to create. This is truly plug and play. Lets admit it, most smokers work the same way, what sets this one apart and it major! is the ash clean out and the wood pellet dump. If you have ever had to shop vac out your smoker just before you are about to drop your dinner on the grill you 'll know the profanity my neighbors are treated to.( apologies) The ash clean out on this bad boy was a game changer. Do n't be cheap protect your smoker and buy the cover, yes you can park your rig under cover which helps, but the moisture in the air finds a way in. The cover will extend the life of your smoker and that itself has great value.

This is my 3rd camp chef dlx 24 I own. They all work great and would recommend to anyone. This 1 cost a little more than the other 2 and came with a little damage but nothing a rubber mallet could n't fix. I hope it last just as long as my other 2 if not longer. FYI my other 2 work fine I just had a mishap with pellets getting wet and jammed up auger but I cleared the jam and still works. Camp Chef is definitely my go to smoker/pellet grill in today's market.

XXL Pro vertical smoker
This smoker adds the extra smoke I was looking for on my meat. I smoked a few pork butts and they all turned out amazing. The smoke ring was awesome. The meat was tender and juicy. The room in this smoker is twice the space I had on my MZG 24 smoker. The temperature stayed consistent and was always within 3- 5 degrees off set temperature. The vertical chamber is great for not losing heat. When I would open the lid to my MZG 24 smoker, the temperature would drop ten degrees or more. I do n't get but a couple degree drop when I open the door to the XXL Pro. Probably due to the vertical design. I would say the smoke box is also great addition to adding extra smoke at whatever level you desire. The Wi- Fi, blue tooth controller works well. I really like this smoker.

My XXL has been in use now for several months. There no significant issues with assembly. The door fits and swings well and easily. The temperature controller works as advertised. The smoke box does the job easily and neatly. Pork Butts, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Turkey, Beef of various cuts have all turned out delicious. It is supremely easy to use. The wheels make it easy to move around, thought the legs tend to vibrate and chatter a bit on uneven pavement. The pellet hopper is huge and easy to fill and monitor. Even the WiFi connection/controller works well. Nice unit.

I was fortunate enough to get one of these in the spring of 2022 and we got it for our camper. This grill has been amazing and has blown away everyone that has tasted the food we have cooked on it. I have made steaks, corn on the cob, breakfast sausage, brats hot dogs, burgers, smoked hard boiled eggs, etc. and everything has come out amazing. I had a friend we were camping with recently tell me the steak we ate off of the grill was the best he's ever had. The first time we took it out was shortly after I bought it and I had n't had the opportunity to smoke it in yet, so I did it at the campsite. It created a lot of smoke and attracted a few campers. I showed them how it folded down for transportation as well as how much cooking surface there is( more sq. in. than my now retired original Jr. Traeger!). They all came back later for a taste and agreed it was amazing. 2 of the 4 campers texted me later and shared that they bought Camp Chef smokers when they returned to home to Montana and North Dakota, respectively. You wo n't regret this grill. The clips that secure the lid closed are great for transportation, and the clips that hold the hopper closed keep the rain and water and the pellets dry. Amazing grill!

The Woodwind 36 came very well packaged and in great condition despite some outward appearance of rough handling on the packages. Inside was well protected. Assembly was easy, although instructure were wordless with pictures only. Just pay close atte tion to part shaded and the details of the diagram and you will be fine. I chose this model for the ability to flame grill if wanted. The first cook was using the Side Sear grill with some chicken breasts. Worked great and they were delicious. The first smoke was a brisket for some family in town and it turned out perfect. Tender and juicy, just like a pro. Great flavor and smoke ring and everyone wenst back for more. The next was pork butts for Carolina pulled pork. Again they turned out perfect. Great flavor, super tender, and easy to pull off with the app and the ability to set your time, smoke, and timer or desire internal temp. Very satisfied! Would highly recommend the Woodwind.

I have cooked countless racks of ribs, both pork and beef, Boston Butt's by the dozens, salmon, spatchcock chicken and turkey, and countless other meals. Absolutely love how this grill cooks. The ease of cleaning is enhanced by the cleanout cup on the bottom. The electronic readout is super simple to understand and set. The moveable heat sheal allows grilling as well as slow cooking/smoking. The Sidekick just adds to the awesomeness of this setup. I have cooked pan cakes, sausage, hash browns, and much more on the provided griddle, and used the burner for frying and all sorts of pan cooking. I highly recommend this grill setup. I purchase this last month over other brands for it versatility as well as the smoke box feature which allows me to cold smoke or add more smoke flavor during my cook. Instructions for assembly were simple and straight forward. I appreciated the hardware bags were labeled by step corresponding to the assembly directions. Simple two man assembly can be don in 90 minutes. I added the side kick pizza oven and sear box which work incredibly well. The pizza oven will get as hot as you need to make a crispy personal pizza. Great packaging job however the sides of the grill suffered small dents on each side. These dents will not affect performance of grill. The hopper was also dented enough that the grate would not fit. I took a soft blow hammer and banged out the dent. My biggest gripe was it is not depicted or stated how and where to store excess wire for the temperature probe? Assembly was easy, I like how the bags of hardware were labeled by step. This helped make assembly a breeze. Definitely a two man job and the only tool need was a Phillips screwdriver.

Its slightly heavier than others I have but like the igniter( never though I would) and it also saves us fuel usage which depending on the length vs canister packed can save on some weight. Really solid stove, a bit pricy in the world of backpacking stoves but extremely happy with it. Really decent wind performance too, though obviously try not to use it in direct wind.

[ I have been using Camp Chef brand pellets, almost exclusively, for 4 years. They are always fresh, dry, and produce excellent smoke. If you want the best result, use the best pellets.

[ This portable fold- up X- Grill by Oniva is great for grilling burgers, sausages, and simple cuts of meat. It folds up really nicely and comes with a handy over- the- shoulder carrying bag. The bag and compact design makes it very easy to take with you if you want to grill things at a tailgate, at the beach, or at a park, for example. The grill itself gets the job done well enough but leaves a few things to be desired. The grates are n't perfectly lined up with the side that holds it in place and it is a little bit wobbly since the grate is also made of three pieces attached together. The charcoal sits very close to the cooking grates so food items cook very quickly and can burn more easily, resulting in things like burgers and hotdogs working out well but not so much for more complicated food items like chicken. Ideally a cover or lid would be a great additional feature to help control airflow and to control how hot the grill gets. All in all, this X- Grill is still a very handy thing to have on hand since it can easily be stored away when not in use. I also wish the bag that it came with had a zipper or a velcro closure because as it is now, it's just a non- secure flap that tucks into the bag, allowing for the grill to slide out if it falls over.
