My softspikes were in desperate need of replacement. I was out of town and did not have the proper tool to get the old out and twist the new in. So very glad that I purchased this kit. If not for the included ripper wrench, I 'd still have the old spikes in my shoes!! That wrench removed even the most stubborn and worn out spikes. As for the spikes, they work great. I swear I ’ m getting an extra 15yrds. I have foot joy traditions and they come stock with spikes but they aren ’ t “ sticky ” enough. On a hot dry day, the spikes will do but I play a lot of early tee times so it ’s always wet. Once the spikes get clogged with mud they are pretty much useless so I decided to try a “ spikier ” cleat and I ’ m super happy. I feel like I ’ m generating more power now that I ’ m secure to the ground. 10/10 the ripper tool is a life saver.

The Contour casual has the same benefit of the excellent gripping sole( without spikes) and also the ability to go car to pro shop( not wearing out golf cleats). The leather on this shoe is amazing and if you 've owned FJ before, you know to buy something when it's available because there's always the poss of things changing in future years with sytle etc. The functionality of this shoe is A++, the quality is A++, the durability is A++. I can not speak for waterproof quality as I have not worn the shoe in wet conditions, but FJ has always warrantied thier products well and so I think that will be A+ as well.

I read some reviews stating that the tongue was too tall and did find that upon first try on without breaking in, it was stiff and sat up higher than normal. However after 9 holes wearing them, it did soften up to the point where I did not notice it any further. The shoes overall are very comfortable and good for walkers and riders alike.

They are a good fit, the slip- on feature is great, and the first time out I wore them for a round of golf, a walk in a park dinner out. All in all about 10 hours and my feet felt great. These shoes are great. I ’ ve always been a Footjoy and Puma guy but these shoes are extremely comfortable and provide great support right out of the box. Glad that Nike went back to replaceable spikes opposed to the non- replaceable ones on some models over the last few years where the shoe is done for ones you wear down the spikes or break one. Bought these after watching many reviews on YouTube and reading multiple online reviews that said they were the BEST and MOST comfortable shoes again and again. I typically wear Ecco ’s and honestly I feel the Ecco ’s are more comfortable and more cushioned than these shoes. The reviews say they are like walking on clouds but I don ’ t find them to be like that. They are for lack of a better term “ cushioned stiff ”. Meaning they aren ’ t as soft and cushioned as the reviewers led me to believe. They are more like a cushioned stiff mold but not super soft. With that said they aren ’ t bad but they certainly aren ’ t like walking on clouds. I ’ ll keep them as a second pair but the Ecco ’s for me are much more comfortable for walking 18 holes. I was disappointed because I am always looking for the next evolution of the moret comfortable golf shoes, but I guess that ’s why there is more than one company that makes golf shoes. I would give it a 8/10. Good but not great.

I got 4 or 5 seasons out of my previous Foot Joy shoe, the Helix D. N. A., so I was only buying Foot Joy this time. Seeing as I knew I wanted another pair, and that I wanted to replace them with a top of the line version, the FJ Pro/SLX Carbon's were my top choice. I have worn them about 4 times now, and feet feel fresh after each use, not tired. They look amazing and feel even better when I swapped out the stock insole for my personal insoles. They run a little narrow so I went 1/2 size up. Stiff soles at first but after a couple rounds they soften up a little and they always have great traction. No slipping on any wet grass as I walk down a hill or out of a sand trap. My feet feel great( and dry) even after a full round of 18. Plus they look like the OG Tailwinds from the 90s that I wanted since I was a kid!
