This shirt is thicker than a normal under layer shirt but is still comfortable if you wanted to wear additional layers. The cut of the shirt is super nice you might not want to hide it, though! It has thumb hole openings which are nice. I wore it alone several times since I bought it and was pleased at how well it kept me warm. I liked it so much I went to get a second one. They had sold out of the 3s but I snagged a 2 at least! My only negative comment would be it looks wrinkled when you remove it from the dryer. I only air dried it so maybe some heat might have gotten the wrinkles out. It's black so not that noticeable. Great shirt. I tried to get a 2nd one so obviously am happy with my purchase!

Never got the point of these tops until I tried one. Excellent outdoors no matter the weather. Does two jobs, wicking sweat to keep you more comfortable and on cooler days also acts as a second layer. Must be the way the air is `` trapped '' within the holes in the mesh. But they are great on the turbo too, if like me, yours is in the unheated garage. Put a loose top on until you get warmed up. Once that's off, this mesh top is brilliant. Really recommend them.

This short sleeved base layer is the best one I have ever owned. It is very stretchy and close fitting- almost like a compression vest, which takes a bit of getting used to but once out on the road it is extremely comfortable and very warm. The fishnet structure really works to keep you warm- providing you trap your body heat in the holes by keeping the wind out, so I found it works great even in winter if you wear a windproof or waterproof top. I double up by wearing a gilet under my waterproof top. The sizing is difficult to recommend because on a coat hanger it looks like your little sister ’s vest but is stretches almost double in size. Luckily it does this because with a S/M size I must be at the maximum limit! The other good thing is that the sleeves are long and clinging so arm warmers grip to it really well and don ’ t creep down, as happens with all my other under vests. If you have a bit of a belly I recommend using the L/XL. The model is wearing S/M- well I am 5 ’ 10 ” and 77kg and S/M has me trussed up like the guy from Erasure- ha, at least my wife thinks I look good in it so a win;-)

Since there were no reviews at the time. I went to the Free People website and found out it runs very small. I usually wear a small or an XS or in FP. I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ” 120# 32DD for reference. I purchased the black in a size large. I didn ’ t want it to fit body con because I have a bad back and I ’ m self conscious about it. It really fits well with a little extra room but it doesn ’ t look sloppy. If you want a really fitted look you could get your normal size. I really like it and immediately came back for the red one! The pants are also amazing. They have seaming at the waist, front and back, that make them really flattering. The material is super nice,, medium weight and very soft and comfortable. [ This is my go- to base layer for skiing( or any other outdoor cardio activity... if I ever did one). It's form fitting and has great mobility. I always use merino fabric as my base layer since it's' breathable and odor- resistant. This top kept me warm but not overheated in 30 degree weather with a down ski jacket. I prefer to minimize my layers so this top paired with my jacket is all I need in everything but extremely cold or warm skiing weather. It's also stylish and looks good with ski pants on its own for apres!

I purchased this top( and the leggings together as a set). Altogether, it is one of the better base layer fits I ’ ve had the chance to try out in the elements. Overall the top is probably my favorite piece, not only because of the high quality materials used- but because of the sleeve length. As a tall/lanky girly, some genuine long sleeves are always greatly appreciated. The style is also a great plus, the outfit goes with pretty well everything( purchased in black for this reason).
