Or maybe it ’s just seems that way because it ’s so much easier to re- fuel by plugging in than the hassle of removing and replacing all those batteries every few days! This rechargeable battery pack is a large upgrade over the stock included battery case for the icon 700 headlamp. It is lighter and feels better when wearing the headlamp than the battery case along with the inclusion of the rear facing red- light which increases the usefulness of the Icon 700 headlamp for more activities where rear visibility is needed. I would not hesitate to purchase this battery pack again, the only thing I would change is to purchase it sooner.

[ Ampex was kind enough to send me this because I purchased a Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and backpack all from them. If I was able to do this over again I would. I would buy it myself because I love this power bank so much. I went on a multi day trip and was able to charge my phone once( didnt need to charge it more than 1 time at all) and still had a ton of power left in the bank. This is a nice power brick that does the normal power brick stuff. I use it for camping and around the house when I am not near an outlet. It will charge my phone 2- 3 times, and added 40% to my jumbo iPad. I ’ m a fan of the quick USB- C quick charging. I discovered one hidden feature when camping, and this may be a happy accident. I didn ’ t see mention of this on the website…. When I was trying to plug my phone in while camping last time, I noticed that if I hit the button on the side of the power bank that it not only lit up the bars showing battery life, but it also lit up the plug charge holes. My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. I can ’ t wait to go again this week and see how they do in near zero temperatures. Definitely worth the price.

As a smaller woman I have smaller hands, but these are almost small enough for a child. The overall quality is fantastic, they heat up nicely and the cell phone smart touch works great. But the finger length is so short the fingers stop at my second knuckle. A little disappointed I can ’ t wear them as a true glove liner because of that since the measurements for hand size fits everywhere else.

The Rambler has quickly become an indispensable travel companion. I 've taken it camping, used it to power my laptop at the coffee shop and I have even flown across the country with it. I was a little bit worried that it would get flagged by TSA, but I have had no issues with it in my carry- on bag. I especially love that I do n't have to search for a power outlet at the terminal when I am flying. It is bigger than the 20K power bank that I had been using for a few years, but having a built- in AC outlet, wireless charging and more power capacity is worth it for me. I currently have an iPhone 12Pro that has an internal 2, 815mah battery and the Rambler provides nearly 4 phone recharges before I need to recharge it. However, I am usually using my phone at the same time so that is likely impacting my recharge rate to some extent. I was pleasantly surprised by the solid design, and I have really liked the digital display that shows the wattage being used and the battery life percentage remaining, so I do n't have to guess. All in all, I 've loved it and have even received a few compliments from fellow travelers.
