My Diamondback was getting some work completed and when I went to pick it up, I noticed that the rear tire was flat. I took it in with a flat so thought I thought they had called me to early to pick it up. The tech took the tire off and noticed the tube had a hole in it. He could n't find a tube with a Schrader valve to relace it so he installed Priesta valve tube. Never again will I use that type of valve. PITA to put air in without losing more than I am pumping in. He did his best and I came home and ordered a new tube with a Schrader valve on eBay.

I read a previous review, basically saying don ’ t buy these and the stem was broken, but I never had issues buying stuff from Dick ’s in the past, so I bought them anyway. I noticed that on the Presta Valves, the stem lock ships screwed all the way in, if you unscrew this, it will inflate and deflate properly. They add a bit of weight to the tires, but they are definitely worth it- especially if you live in a desert. First weekend I had them installed, I accidentally ran over a piece of jumping cholla cactus. Fortunately I was able to pull the thorns out of the tire and keep on moving without losing air.
