I was thinking about getting XtraTuf boots for a long time but never had any reason to until I started needing a waterproof boot that wasn ’ t a full tall winter boot. I ’ m glad I got them. They aren ’ t breathable( as I expected) due to the waterproofing of the boot, but the fact that they are short boots helps them breathe a little more than a tall boot. They are very comfortable and I have even wore them for short hikes because I decided not to change my shoes. They have quickly became my everyday winter shoe/boot. I love the purple color, it is so fun, but when mud splashed on them it stays visible until you wash it off. The one time I did scrub them off they did clean up relatively nicely, but if you want an easier maintenance boot, I would get a darker color.

These are great boots! I have been wearing Xtratufs for the past 4- 5 years( both deck and legacy). My last pair of deck boots lasted me three years before cracking on the crease point near the balls of my feet. I put them through everything. A lot of forestry work. The only issue I have is comfort. My current job requires standing on concrete for up to 6 hours a day. My feet start to hurt after a few hours. I definitely recommend buying inserts if you can. I wear these at least 3- 4 times a week, they 're like slippers for me. I will definitely be coming back for another pair when these wear out. Also, can the women's mossy mint green color please come back??

Bought these since I moved from AK over to the east coast. Wanted something lighter and a bit more breathable than the womens legacy boots. I wore these everywhere. Gardening, hiking, walking the dog 3+miles a day, to work, doing errands, slipping them on in the early morning to pick up dog poop. These were easy to slip on and off. My feet stayed dry. In the dead of summer, they can get a bit hot. My regular running shoes are even hot! but overall my feet did not overheat. The shoes had great traction. It's been about a year and they are still great. I may have worn down the soles from so much use. My only con is: the foot cushions might stick to your bare feet if you do n't wear socks.

I got these for Christmas in 2020 and wear them all the time! They are suprisingly comfy. Sometimes i wear them for 18 hours stright and they dont hurt my feet. They also still look brand new. I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. I ’ ve had many pairs of the original 6 ” xtratufs over the years and one pair of all black leathers 6 ” boots for work and the sports are still by far my favorite. If I ever hear they are going to discontinue this line, I will hoard as many pairs as I can lol. If xtratuf reads this review please make a 6 ” sport in all black( black top/black soul) so I can wear it on the boat at work!

I really like these boots – as many others have stated, these run wider than the normal deck boots but are also more cushioned and stable because of the thicker outsole. I ’ ve had my pair for about two years, use them for yard chores, working outside, mud/snow, etc. I like the original deck boots for wearing on the boat since they ’ re lighter and less clunky.
