The material was relatively breathable for being so durable. I 'm 5' 8 and wear a large in most brands. I bought these in large and they fit great. I could probably wear a medium for a shorter, less baggy fit but I like that they are a bit baggy and longer. I wore these on a long day of walking all day in 95+ degree weather and they were so comfortable! I loved that I could unzip them a bit at the bottom of leg for airflow. They are so lightweight and soft. They 're great for travel too, worked well for a long day at the airport. Be aware that you will make some noise in these, that swish swish sound. But it's not too bad unless you are in a super quiet place. The pockets are great.

I 've had several pairs of rain pants from other manufacturers over the years and these are the best so far. They do n't restrict my leg movements, do n't leak, and are easy to get on and off. The rise is high, so you have good overlap with your top and the waist drawstring seems sturdy enough, although I pair them with suspenders also. Rain and wet brush are expected if you are outside much of the year here in the PNW, so you need some good rain pants.

My issue is n't with the pants which are great, BUT with the sizing chart- I am 6' 3 '' and 36 '' waist and a large size works for me but I have an 34 '' inseam and the chart recommendation is to get a tall size however I think regular would have been much better. The pant legs bunch up at the bottom when I have mid waterproof hiking shoes on. The OR pro deal is great but unfortunately they do n't allow exchanges or returns. Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. I 've been looking for a lighter version of hike and cross- country ski pants and these fit the bill perfectly! I practically 'live' in these pants as they are really comfortable! I appreciate OR making these pants with shorter 30 '' inseams in addition to regular 32 '' inseams. They are high quality and should last several years.

Used these on a hike up Mount Monadnock, temp was sub freezing the entire hike and I was comfortable during the climb. I 'm 6' 225lbs and ordered an XL. They were slightly big on me despite the sizing guide saying this should be my size. I had to draw down the belt as far as I could. However there would be plenty of room to layer if I needed too

Absolutely phenomenal pants, very breathable. light weight. Super comfortable when working and to just wear outside of work. I 've always struggled with finding pants that fit. As I 'm short with a tummy. I 'm an XL in these. They are high waisted at least for me. But the elastic band helps to tie for a snug fit. Ordering more?? I had one pair of pants before I tried this out last week.

The ripstop pants are very comfortable. It is nice to have relaxed fit pants that also have an elastic waist when working. I work outside with fruit trees and having comfort while bending, squatting, or climbing ladders is important. My only complaint is that these pants do not keep me cool in the summer. It would be great if there could be a lighter weight cotton option.

Amazing pants. Have worn these on the John Muir Trail the last two years. Great slightly baggy fit that breath really well and don ’ t bind on the knees when having to step up large rocks. Highly recommend after having worn for multiple trips and after having tried many other brands, these pants are my go to. Also wearing the Trail Sender shirt after being so happy with these. I 'm normally a size 32( male, 6 ’ 2 ”, 192lbs) wear a 34 to allow for a little extra room in the thigh. Easy to adjust with the built in belt/tie.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.

G3 waders are just the ticket for me. High quality materials: durable, flexible, optimum weight. Adding the pants to my full wader set gives me the best option for water and weather conditions. Adding a small back pocket would be a nice feature.
