I 've had these for six weeks of summer on sidewalks and woods' rutty trails where they 've been great-- perfect insulation from the ground's surface, good traction on wet and/or uneven ground, plenty roomy for my wide forefeet whether w/ socks or not, and w/ a springy stride. They are also too wide in the heel but nonetheless keep my heels from sliding around. And they 're the best clog design IMO for staying dry in light rain w/ a wide- enough umbrella. Plus, I can wear them for a much longer period of time without any comfort issues. For perspective, I am a 77 year old ex- athlete who now just walks 3- 5 miles per day for my fitness. 3 things keep me wearing Brooks shoes. First, they fit my foot shape perfectly: length, width, and arch location. Second, they feel impact- free. My heel strikes the pavement with no jarring or wobbling and then `` rolls '' smoothly through the stride. Third, I walk with my right foot turned out about 15 degrees more than my left. Without me focusing on it, Brooks shoes straighten my stride reducing fatigue on the inside of my right knee. Thank you, Brooks.

I can wear kids size, but buy men ’s small. I can layer under in colder weather and the jacket covers shorts and skirts in warm weather. Pants cover my shoes. Living on an island in the Pacific I learned to always carry rain gear. Have them with me hiking in Nepal or gardening in Hawaii. Had to buy this set for my husband.

Good sneakers, horrible color selection on these. I was a 1080 runner for years and tried these. I wish New Balance listed a bit more to their customers. Not every new version is better for all customers, offer 2 versions in each model. Some of us are tired of switching versions especially when the new version is n't as good as the old version. Please bring back some colors, this version of colors is in my opinion your worst selection ever. I like the brand, but not everyone in your Ivory Tower knows what is best for your customer base.

Coming from a pair of Nikes, these took a bit of getting used to because there is was much “ squishyness ” under my heel. After a week or so, I actually really appreciated this- they ’ re very comfortable. I noticed right away that they have good arch support- like most shoes with support for high arches you have to make sure to adjust the laces so that your foot rests in the right place. Lastly, I appreciate how lightweight these are and the color( I bought the light blue ones).
