[ I have a couple of these hoodies and I love them for outdoor activity. The material is light enough to wear when it's hot, but just wind- blocking enough to be good for a slight chill. The sun protection is top notch with the thumb- loop sleeves and hood, and the pockets are perfect for whatever small items I need to take on the trail/run. This sun hoodie is perfect for providing sun protection without trapping too much heat or sweat during summer activities in the mountains. Note that the specs describe darker colors as SPF 20 and lighter colors as SPF 15. I bring this backpacking as an extra layer with a minimal weight penalty.

[ color is great, fit is great, and I love how they 've altered the thumb hole approach most sun hoodies have. On most hoodies, thumb holes are in the seam along the wrist, and that shortens the sleeve length, so the thumb hole strangles my thumb( I have long arms). This shirt has thumb loops along the end of the sleeve. So much more comfortable! I also like the overlapping lower sides of the hood; nice coverage without being too tight around the neck.

I 'm 5' 7 '', 125lb lean and got the Medium thinking it would be nice and loosey goosey on me. Either this shirt runs small or the gains from the gym are catching up to me( doubtful) but this shirt was surprisingly tight in the shoulders and upper arms. So be warned, if you 're busty and broad( I 'm not) you might want to skip this shirt altogether, not sure that sizing up will work this time around. The fabric is not your typical polyester sun shirt, it's very much a buttery- soft cotton- esque fabric which will be interesting to see how it actually Performs in the sun and spray( you know, if you actually wear it for Fishing). Arm length is great on my size and the concealed thumb holes are thoughtful. This shirt will actually keep the backs of your hands safe from the sunbeams. Extra points that it's cropped slightly and not overly long.

Does the job in terms of good sun protection. Gets stinky very quickly, so you pretty much have to wash it after a single day of use, and it stains very easily. Other than that, no complaints.

Absolutely love this shirt. It ’s made of magic. Awesome for summer around water. Dries very quickly. Can wear swimming instead of sunblock.
