[ I have a couple of these hoodies and I love them for outdoor activity. The material is light enough to wear when it's hot, but just wind- blocking enough to be good for a slight chill. The sun protection is top notch with the thumb- loop sleeves and hood, and the pockets are perfect for whatever small items I need to take on the trail/run. Huge fan of this! It's a go to for slightly warmer to hotter temperatures. It's comfortable and feels far more breathable and quality than alternative sun hoodies on the market( REI Sahara sun hoody) Also, the protection I get with it from the sun is amazing. The hood is more oversized so it's easy to wear over a helmet or to sorta pull to the side to provide extra protection from the sun-- even when you 're just driving and there's bright sun coming from the side window. I own two and am dreaming of a third!

Breathes well, I wear this trail hiking in cooler mornings in Arizona. I really like the hood, I pull it up over my cap to protect my neck from the sun, and unlike other, fruit flavored hoodies I have, it is roomie enough not to be constricting, and the geometry is perfect to stay up without blowing down. For me, it's the perfect sun hoody. I wanted something super light for hiking in the sun and just a little sun protection to prevent me from burning, because I still want the vitamin D. This barely weighs anything and I find it surprisingly durable for what it is. It's not tough by any mean, but I was worried it would deteriorate after a few uses. I have two minor complaints: 1. is that it's quite expensive for how simple it is. 2. The t- shirt version fit differently than this version, it was quite tight around the chest, I was expecting the same fit. The t- shirt version is great for working out in the gym on a hot day where they still insist you wear a shirt.

[ color is great, fit is great, and I love how they 've altered the thumb hole approach most sun hoodies have. On most hoodies, thumb holes are in the seam along the wrist, and that shortens the sleeve length, so the thumb hole strangles my thumb( I have long arms). This shirt has thumb loops along the end of the sleeve. So much more comfortable! I also like the overlapping lower sides of the hood; nice coverage without being too tight around the neck.

I 'm 5' 7 '', 125lb lean and got the Medium thinking it would be nice and loosey goosey on me. Either this shirt runs small or the gains from the gym are catching up to me( doubtful) but this shirt was surprisingly tight in the shoulders and upper arms. So be warned, if you 're busty and broad( I 'm not) you might want to skip this shirt altogether, not sure that sizing up will work this time around. The fabric is not your typical polyester sun shirt, it's very much a buttery- soft cotton- esque fabric which will be interesting to see how it actually Performs in the sun and spray( you know, if you actually wear it for Fishing). Arm length is great on my size and the concealed thumb holes are thoughtful. This shirt will actually keep the backs of your hands safe from the sunbeams. Extra points that it's cropped slightly and not overly long.

I wear them almost everyday in the summer, I ’ m a commuter so trying to get as much sun protection is very important. I am between sizes so I sized up. I might just buy the new wool option.

I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. Dries very very quickly, which is great when conditions are damp.

The material is a lil tough or like the other reviewer said plastic like but it is very lightweight and if you are looking to save ounces in your pack this sun hoodie is a great option. I like the thumb holes but I feel like the sleeves should be a tad longer for a better fit. I bought the orange and it ’s a beautiful color and bright on the trail. Im hoping with a few washes the shirt will soften a bit.

I work as a construction project manager in tropical Costa Rica, this shirt is nearly perfect. It's light, it shields you from the sun, and the reinforced stitches makes it durable. The downside, this type of fabric forces me to wash it everyday after work to avoid odor from sticking. I would love to see this very design but with wool, the hoodie is a must for warm climates.
