Hat is packable, lightweight, and had the best face and neck coverage of any I found. Also has a drawstring to keep it on. I haven ’ t used it yet but I know it will do what it ’s designed to and protect you from the sun. This is going to be my go to hat for kayaking. I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well. Hat is very useful. I have used for desert hiking in Arizona/utah and while hiking the 500 mile Camino Frances across Spain in late summer heat. I obtained my hat in a bit different way, it washed up on our beach. Someone on a boat is missing it greatly. I had been wearing Tiiley hats but I like this one much better. The brim is stiffer which is a great benefit out sailing on breezy days. The adjustable band allows fitting the hat perfectly. The narrower venting along the top keeps it cool while keeping the sun out. And the material holds up very well.
