My son went through 3 of the regular “ utility ” pants before I decided to try to the more expensive “ pro utility ” version. This version is thicker and will last through sliding, etc. The regular non pro version is just too thin and develop holes almost instantly when sliding. Under Armour will also not warranty replace a pair of pants with a hole in them. Even if you only get one wear out of them, they will say it ’s from “ misuse ” … even though they are BASEBALL PANTS lol. Anyway, if your son insists on wearing UA because of how they fit, get these pro versions, not the regular ones. Still a bit tough to get dirt stains out of, but that comes with the territory.

I tried under armor pants in the past and they were like wearing a thong but the shorts do not ride up like the pants did. The waist liner is awesome and very comfortable. I do not tuck my shirts in but if I did, the rubberized material is made to hold the shirt in from untucking. The length of these is perfect. Great pants. Best fitting Carhartt pants I have had. Fabric is great feeling and looking though it does show wrinkles a bit more than I would prefer. Pocket layout is nearly perfect. My only gripe with them is that the extra pocket that is thigh level on the right side is pretty much pointless. If I put anything in it I can feel it on the back of my knee and it gets in the way when sitting. When there is nothing in the pocket I can sometimes feel the lining or stitching from it. I think the pants would be better if it was just omitted.

VRST has done it again. I have some pants made by another company that are similar to these and I would choose these over the other brand. The fabric is softer and looks more like a traditional khaki pant. These pants come with a little extra room in the hip and thigh area, so they fit nice and comfortable. The material has a slight stretch to it, so range of motion is not limited in any way. The fabric is moisture wicking so they dry quick. The pants also have UV protection which is alway a plus if you are out in the sun. Beside the main side pocket on the right side there is also a zippered pocket to keep keys safe to they do n't fall out. The back pocket also has a zipper if you are someone who keeps their wallet in their back pocket. Overall great fit and comfort. I will be buying more of these.
