I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. I ’ ve had many pairs of the original 6 ” xtratufs over the years and one pair of all black leathers 6 ” boots for work and the sports are still by far my favorite. If I ever hear they are going to discontinue this line, I will hoard as many pairs as I can lol. The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. I have tried thorogoods, wolverines, and red wings all at 2- 3x the price of the boots, and these have consistently lasted longer for a much better price, the soles wear at a much slower rate and the leather does n't fall apart like others I have used. My only gripe is that my little toe on my big ol wide foot hangs just behind the steel toe section. If I kick anything with the toe of the shoe, the steel cap jams into the tip of my little toe.
