This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. I bought the shoes because we own 2 large Golden Doodles who need to go outside or be walked several times a day. Sometimes we run. These shoes have gone thru mud, snow, puddles, and more, and never missed a beat. My feet stayed dry and I just rinsed the shoes upon returning inside and good as new. I normally wear a 7. 5, but sized up to an 8 and the fit is perfect. I really like the extra room in the toebox, so I can wiggle my toes. However, the shoes do tend to run a bit narrow, so just a heads up if you have a wide foot. The shoes easily accomodated my orthotic once I pulled out the insole provided.( Hey, Nike, these shoes should have a unglued, easily removable, insole!) Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase.

Able to wear them traveling all day and be comfortable but they do make my feet sweat a lot. The green color is nice but impossible to keep clean. Had the normal one full day break- in period. This is my third pair and I keep coming back for them. They are rugged and durable and last a little over a year when used roughly for hiking, trail running and slogging through the mud. I compete with these a lot because they keep the water out( unless I go in the streams) and they hold up really well. The soles start to get thinner after 1. 5 years but I have n't found any others that hold up any better and still stay together like these Moab 3's.

The toe box is spacious enough to accommodate my weird feet, and the inserts and good enough that I do n't have to replace them with orthotic- wear type insoles. The color fades quickly, but who cares? I have a sort of weird gait, so I wear down the outside of the heel sooner than I would like, but that happens with all my shoes. I do n't think it's a durability fault, because most of the sole retains its tread.
