The title says it all. I 'm not gon na lie- my main objective for a helmet purchase for my daughter was to find one in hot pink. There are plenty out there, but none of them are from brands that I trust or that carried the necessary impact certifications for caving. While we have not used it yet, it fits fine, is lightweight, and I have full confidence in its performance. My only wish is that there was a slightly higher end helmet available in this same color( like the half dome at least), but that's no fault of the Capitan. Kids Captain is great! We have some very adventurous kiddos and so having a helmet that is good for both bikes and climbing is such a great design. Overall, I really like this helmet. First of all, I only considered MIPS helmets due to previous personal injuries. In the climbing industry, so far, there's only a few of them as I write this: this one, Smith, and two Black Diamond ones. The Black Diamond Capitan was too heavy for me, and the other Black Diamond was a contender, but in the end, the sizing was off, and even the largest size did n't fit my head well. This Wall Rider MIPS helmet is lightweight, comfortable, and so far, it has been durable. I 've used it on 10+ trips over the course of a year, and it has n't shown wear- and- tear, although the white top has gotten scratches( cosmetic) and is no longer pure white. The only downsides I would say are that the chin strap took me a while to dial down the sizing to where I wanted it( the strap barely covers my ears) and that the helmet sometimes covers part of my eyes if I look down too much, not staying in place. That is annoying when I 'm climbing, and sometimes I have to readjust the helmet by pushing it backwards so that it does n't cover part of my top eyesight.

First just a huge fan of Mammoth stuff. Great gear, high quality and has a good look to it. This is a good helmet for climbing, biking, and honestly if you are n't worried about fashion on the jobsite can get away with it on some low key sites. The chin strap gets you points with the safety crew. But note it is not TYPE 2, so no help on that. Just type 1 and EN 12492. All good and Mammoth keep making cool stuff!

I took a pretty big slam to the back of my head on my first ride with this helmet and I ’ m not brain dead so I ’ m gon na say it works as advertised. Im actually pretty surprised the helmet is still intact as well. I didn ’ t feel hot or cold with it, so that ’s cool. Style is subjective.

Great helmet! Very comfortable and functional. I love that I can open and close the front and back vents separately to help regulate temperature and ventilation. Helmet works well with bluetooth in helmet music( I use Outdoor Tech Chips). I 've not had a hard crash yet to test it, but I 'm glad this helmet has the MIPS system just in case.

I bought two of these for my TBall children. They fit them pretty well. The foam allows a pretty broad range of sizing. It would be too small for my head, so check the sizing, and it seems accurate. This seems to be manufactured by the same company that made my older son's Under Armour helmet. The quality seems virtually the same. I like how the ear flaps seem to jut forward a bit to help cover the cheekbone, but still have a good opening for seeing the ball.
