Absolutely adore this backpack! The rich, warm ochre hue paired with the slightly wrinkly fabric is a lovely combination, and the fabric is waterproof too! The padded shoulder straps are very comfortable but might take a day or two to get used to, and the two inner pockets are perfect for small items. I was worried that it might be too small, but once I move my water bottle and thermos to the side pockets, I have enough room for my laptop and books. Three things that could make this bag even better: 1. Adding a strap to the back, so the bag can be securely attached to a carry on suitcase. 2. Using a fabric with the same color and texture but more stretch. 3. Either moving the two inner pockets to the inner front of the middle compartment or adding two inner pockets to the front pocket.

I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I would put one more strip of padding on the bottom of the area for the laptop and two way zippers for the front little pocket, One other suggestion is for the side pockets where you can put your drinks it would be cool if one of those was a little longer, and you could zip it up.... [ This thing is awesome! Super simple and light weight. Pretty water resistant as well. I use it as my go to and have been caught in some pretty good rain storms and it kept everything dry. The back pad does n't hold too much heat and the taller more narrow shape of the pack does n't feel like you have a bunch of stuff. This is a very good, very simple bag. It has a small outside pocket on the top and main compartment. I have used it for a few hikes and a few 20+ mile runs with a bladder inside( it does have a loop to keep the bladder upright). Good bag for the money.

The pack is mostly one giant space which has plusses and minuses. I wish it had another zippered pouch on the outside for snacks. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

My travel hack is to wear this under my jacket but sling it to the side opposite the flight attendant when boarding and it works every time so I can have a backpack and duffel. This pack surprised me on the upside. For my daily needs, I only need 16 liters, but I carry a 13 '' laptop and want good organization. This pack delivers. It's a very good design and great materials. Well thought out internal organization. My only gripe is the fabric used for the top quick access pocket feels like cheap sweatshirt material. It wo n't scratch sunglasses, but I 'd prefer something a little nicer. That said, I give this pack a thumbs up.

It is exactly what I was looking for in an everyday pack that I can also use for day hikes. The pockets are great, the straps are all adjustable and there even a whistle on the chest strap. Lots of options for attachment of items such as poles on the exterior of the pack. I love the small fleece pocket at the top of the bag. The outer pocket is great for putting wet or smelly items in. The water bottle pockets can be a bit of squeeze if you have a full pack for a Nalgene but it still fits. There is also a hole for a hydration bladder to fit through. Overall great pack for everyday life and day adventures! Love it.

Very Nice Cooler. Igloo stepped their game up! I did a 24 hour on this cooler as soon as I got it to decide if I would keep it. I put an 7lb bag of ice in it with some bottles of water. I left the cooler outside on the deck in 90 degree weather overnight. I checked at the 12 hour mark and 24 hour mark. At 24 hours the water to ice ratio from the ice was about 80% water 20% ice. The ice water was ice cold and the bottles we ice cold. This is exactly what I wanted the pack for, as most people buying it would use it for 24 hours or less. I bought this pack for day hikes and traveling, and I love it! The different adjustments make it super- comfortable, and the exterior loops for my trekking poles are really convenient. Great quality, lots of pockets and loops on the exterior, good ventilation on for my back, The only negative for me- it's currently only available in black. When they 're in blue or green, I will DEFINITELY get the larger size for longer hikes.

I have had Thule bags for 14 years now, along with bags by Cotopaxi, Osprey, etc. This is the best day to day bag I have found. Organization is next level, and the support makes a bag full of MacBook Pro 15, books, chargers, snacks, etc etc feel light. Bonus is that it ’s way more stylish than older versions.

[ Wow! This backpack is so nice! My husband will be using this for spotting equipment at the race track! He was very excited and very impressed with the quality! There are so many pockets to organize. It feels very study and well built. We love the green color too!! Overall, a 10/10!!

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I use this book bag for work. I love that it has many compartments and I am able to keep everything organized. I also like that my water bottle fits nicely. The pouch for my computer is adequately padded to keep my laptop safe.

I use it for work and anytime I need to have my laptop and iPad on me( a lot of the time). I love how the laptop sleeve has a false bottom so when you place the laptop in the backpack it does n't accidentally knock the surface the backpack may be resting on. I use the sleeve next to the laptop sleeve for files, and it has enough space for everything I need without being too big or too small. Comfortable, no worries. I 'm not thinking about having any other backpack- it suits my needs perfectly.

Best travel backpack I have purchased. Tough and durable, it is really well designed and assembled. Plenty of pockets, almost everything is secured behind a zipper. It fits easily under the seat on a SWA flight. Front pocket for your tickets, top shallow pocked for phone, wallet, and watch while going through TSA. Stands up and is pretty balanced. You laptop is very protected, especially if you drop the back pack off a chair or sit it down too hard.

Lap top fits easily in the soft line slot( This bag also can hold my MPC LIVE 2). If you 're looking for something with a lot of outer pockets, this is not the bag. Yet, it has enough interior space for a smaill travel bag or daily commuter bag. I like the minimal pocket design. Less places for me to forget things. Quality alone this bag would get 5 Stars. This is a great pack, very light and versatile. Comes with a nice rain cover that packs easily into the front pocket. The gray color is very cool and keeps the contents of the pack cool on hot sunny trails. I really liked the main front zipper to access what I needed quickly from the pack.

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I 'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I have n't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.
