I froze about 15 pounds of meat in ziplocks, and placed in plastic cereal boxed shaped containers. and put two gallons of frozen ice jugs. With about 24 cans and condiments. We came home with a golf ball sized ice cube in the gallon jugs, and cold meat! One more gallon of ice and it would have made 6 days, no doubt. Took a stroll down the igloo aisle because it was more of my budget and was surprised to see that they were actually made in USA! The cooler itself is great, it's small and easy to bring with you, but big enough that you can still load a decent amount of stuff in it and whether you use ice or the igloo freezer blocks, it does a great job of keeping things cold for a reasonable amount of time. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this cooler for small day trips or if you need a lunch box. Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

If you love cold drinks driving to hot states in the summer or any time this is a great cooler that will do the job. This is highly recommended as opposed to thermoelectric coolers if you need to travel with medication that must be at a certain temperature. The only drawback is that all compressor coolers are heaver by design. The bail handle seems strong enough by design to handle to full weight of the cooler. Where the bail handle attaches to both sides of the cooler body, this is why I gave this cooler 4 stars. It seems to be loose fitting and flimsy at the ends. The handles will just fall down to the sides when let go. The cooling and holding temperature work as designed and the compressor will stay off for about an hour to cool again at the set temp.( 42' F). I recommend the cooler, wish the price was less, great overall satisfaction.

I bought this last month for Travel Baseball. It is a 100% upgrade from the large Yeti cooler we used last year. It is much easier for my wife to handle from car to field on her own. With the added outside storage and bins for the inside we have much more flexibility. It ’s pull out handle and sturdy wheels makes it so we can stack chairs, gear and our 5yr old in one trip. It ’s perfect in the cab of my truck. One of my main concerns was this was going to be my main use for this type of cooler and I wasn ’ t sure if it will leak or not. I had zero issues with that when all the i e was melted and just had standing water in the bottom. [ I tried this cooler this weekend not intending to leave a review because I didn ’ t really give it a fair chance. We didn ’ t have ice so we used 3 ice packs only. I also had no cold waters so those were room temperature. The cooler was in my car during the heat and outside in a garage when it was above 80 degrees. The waters were cold when I went to get them out. The ice packs were still frozen solid. It had been at least 10- 12 hours. I ’ m sure it would be even better if we had ice. Even my husband said “ that ’s a handy cooler ”. I also love that it has a 10 year warranty.
