The soles of the Rykas I received were dirty and the right shoe toe was creased, obvious signs of wear. It would have been nice if that information was made known online before purchase and the price discounted giving the customer a choice. I returned them to my local Dick ’s pointing out the usage as my reason for returning. The clerk was polite but could only me a$ 20 coupon after spending$ 100. Ryka shoes are my new favorites. My first Ryka purchase was a pair of Echo Knit Slip- on Sneakers and they fit like they were made specifically for my feet. Same thing with these LX Walking Sneakers. They hug the feet with no rubbing in any unwanted spots. They are lightweight, very cushioned and have excellent arch support. I have a long narrow foot and have a difficult time finding walking/running shoes that are narrow enough for my feet but Ryka, medium width are narrower than other brands I 've tried. I 'd recommend you order the wide width if you typically wear medium width in other brands. I 'd also recommend sizing up ½ size if these will be used for walking/running. I mistakenly ordered the same size as the Echo Knit Slip- ons I had- 8. 5 medium- but for running I should have ordered a half size larger. It's too late to return them because I 've already worn them outside for a run, but they are great for just wearing around. I guess I 'll need to order a 3rd pair of my new favorite shoes!!

I ’ ve had 6 of the 7 generations of TGs, as well as a few of the Vapor Gloves. If you ’ ve never had a minimalist shoe, they are fantastic, but definitely go with Trail before Vapor. This is also good advice to anyone running on harsh trails or loose rocks. These TGs have a lot of absorption, considering the sole thickness. Also, they tell you that the shoes run large, but I would only size up if you have wide feet! If you have normal to narrow feet, I ’ d recommend sticking to size and knowing that they should feel a bit “ sock- like ” without generating any significant toe friction. I just started using them so I can not comment on the quality. I can say that I ’ ve used many categories of Merrell shoes and boots, and with the exception of one single pair of TGs( gen3, I believe), the build quality has been solid.

I purchased both the Max Lace Up and Max Skyline styles, and Skyline is the winner by far. It has lightweight, quality construction and quality materials. Skyline also has a proper papped tongue, unlike Lace Up. Excellent stability at the ankles, Vionic- level arch support and a cushioned heel. Round, fabric eyes make them easy to lace and unlace, unlike Lace Up. A little bulky, and warm on foot, but not too bad. Final verdict: Lace Up and Skyline share the same price point, but Skyline is the definitely superior shoe.

Think if they went dual density, soft inner and stiffer foam in areas to make it far more stable. An orthotic helps with this. Altra make a wide in this shoe all you need to do it widen the mid foot mesh. Shoe stretcher fixes this. People with wide feet need a stability shoe. Torin 8 didn ’ t make the cut. This shoe should have 150mm laces instead of 140mm. Fits great around the ankles and before the mid foot, no pain or blistering. Got better around better in the mid foot as I stretched the shoe and it broke in over a few days.

I took my dogs for a long walk and kept waiting for that usual “ new shoe ” feeling, but it never happened. No blisters or tightness. They felt broken in from the start. As a runner, the nitrogen- infused cushioning feels soft enough to make pavement miles easier, but not so soft that I feel unsteady. The fit has been really easy. There ’s enough room in the toe box, but the shoe still feels secure and doesn ’ t slip around. Even after a couple of three mile runs, my legs felt good, which isn ’ t always the case. I ’ ve worn the shoes on sidewalks and through wet grass and feel like they have really good traction. I walk about 15, 000 steps a day, and my go- to sneaker has always been the Walk Max. I was hesitant to try the Gabby because I didn ’ t think it could compare to my beloved Walk Max — but I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love it! The arch support feels a bit more pronounced, and the overall support is excellent. For sizing, I recommend going down a half size. I normally wear a 9. 5 and sized down to a 9, which fits perfectly. I can ’ t wait for more colors to arrive!

For a highly active high school student who spends a lot of time on their feet, these Pegasus 41's are incredible. I originally had worries about them becoming soft, like my shoes from last year, but they are still( comfortably) firm. I have the Pegasus LV8, not the white ones, and they do get a lot of compliments and they are also very hard to lose, but I think that may be partial to the LV8 in the hard to lose point( LV8 are the bright yellow). Highly recommend these shoes, 10/10!

Ran in these for a couple of weeks now and they are amazing. I just started back running after an injury and was researching a wide toe box shoe. These feel like my old school hoka's before they started making their shoes too narrow. I am now 100% an Altra fan. I have no foot, ankle, and leg fatigue and they are super cushioning. I have worn these on a few light hikes on gravel with my dogs, two days in downtown chicago, 6 miles each, and i now understand what `` energy return '' means. These shoes give you some extra `` spring '' in the ball mound of your foot and feel really lightweight. I like the lacing system but I think people will overtighten these if they 're not familiar with how to use it. I have n't gotten them dirty yet- I do n't want to! They 're too pretty.

If you have wider feet, you may want to go 1/2 size up. These are super comfortable to run errands and lounge around in all day.
