I wear these shoes to work every day and everywhere. Tough as nails and looks great even beat up. I never complain about foot pain anymore with these. The soles are so tough and the wear is minimal. The leather does wear out after a while meaning a looser fit but the hide hold up. I 'm on my 3 or 4th pair.

I own/have owned four pairs of heritage Red Wings. Really, I love them all and am a big fan…they ’ re perhaps my favorite brand for sentimental reasons and quality for the cost. But these I just lobe as they are the only pair that have become completely comfortable without some slight compromise of comfort. They did take some breaking in but nothing like my 877s. And now are super comfortable while providing great protection, support and durability. I have feet issues and sadly My Iron Rangers and 877s both hurt some days when wearing. These? Never. I ’ ve owned several pairs of Blundstone ’s Chelseas and these are FAR better made and superior in comfort. I haven ’ t seen any of the fraying at the top- of the elastic others have encountered, and I ’ ve worn them most days for three months. Really love these. Like…seriously. Um… can you tell? I was looking for a waterproof boot that was n't thermalized so I could wear it in a range of weather-- these are perfect. The Chaco footbed is nice and supportive, and the shaft is wide enough for easy on and off. Also love the finger loop at the back to help. These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.

This is a fantastic boot! I never liked Nike ’s other boots and usually went with Rockys or Salomons, but these really surprised me. I ’ ve put them through two years of hard wear, including two deployments. They ’ re great for field work, and surprisingly, they can handle the “ intense ” conditions of office life too( perfect for all you back office people who think walking to the water cooler is a workout!). I listened to the advice of friends that said the break- in period was worth the end result, and they were right. For the first couple of weeks after wearing them all day my heels would hurt, but since I wore them everyday and broke them in as quickly as I could they are the most comfortable boots I 've ever had.

Bought 1907 ’s about 3 weeks ago. Break in is no joke. Wear them around or house or short trips to town for the first week. After the first week they started feeling better and now 3 weeks in I ’ m wearing them everyday. Feel great. The copper rough and tough was great visually for me, but they ’ re actually tough too. I ’ ve already accidentally scuffed them a few times, and it sort of just blends in with character. Don ’ t recommend them for marathons or hiking, but for normal daily work or just casual wear, I highly recommend. Sizing- get whatever feels snug, not tight enough to make your toes go numb. I ’ m almost just over 10. 5 on the Brannock. I got a 10 at the recommendation from the store. Should ’ ve done a 10. 5. The 10 ’s work but I prefer a looser fit. Will do a 10. 5 next time- yes I like them enough I ’ ll get another pair eventually to baby for only weekend wear.

I got a pair of these three years ago, and my relationship with them got off to a rough start. Full disclosure, I ’ ve recently come to realize my feet are unusually shaped — with protruding heals. That didn ’ t bode well for wearing these boots out of the box. They have triple- layered heals, which are quite rigid and caused me many blisters. Because of the blistering, I wore these seldomly and broke them in very slowly. Over time, however, they molded to my feet, and the heal area stretched out to accommodate my knobby heals. They ’ re now my favorite footwear, and truly a pleasure to wear. Was it worth all the pain? Considering I ’ ll have these boots for many years — if not decades — I say yes. The same tough leather and heavy- duty construction that made these so hard to break in will also make them last forever. In this day and age of cheap, mass- produced goods, it ’s nice to commit to something for the long- haul — even if it requires some sacrifice initially. I ’ m excited to keep wearing these boots, have them further mold to my feet, and keep adding patina to them.

I purchased the Men's Mt. Maddsen Slip- On Shoe in October 2022 about a month before a trip to Northern Ireland. I was looking for a comfortable hiking shoe. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use( I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made.( This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)

A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago. Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them. And boy am I glad I do. These have been my year- round daily boot, for literally all weathers in Colorado, and I wear them literally every day. The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes. I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much. I wear these hiking, Jeeping, running errands, going outside in general, these are what I want on my feet. I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!)
