[ I 've been someone who's fairly efficient at rodeoing clips, but you ca n't do that unless it's perma- drawed or someone has already run up the route. This was a great investment even on it's very first trip. Being able to set a draw, put a rope on it, and even un- clip the draw from the wall makes it easier to convince people to push themselves on routes. Will definitely be taking this on all future trips!

[ The only stick- clip I 've found that can also take the draws down. That's a big deal for me since sometimes me or my buddies want to try extra hard routes. We 've dealt with doing some sketchy things trying to get the bolts down and down climbing and it's not worth it. The downfalls I can find of the device is that the rotating arm could break off potentially and also the silicon used to grip the carabiner sometimes is n't too good at gripping. But a little fiddling is better than a nasty fall any day!

I use these for bike packing on any bike where I put some sort of bladder in a frame bag. I tape the receiving end to the handlebars or aerobars. Even though these are smaller than other brands they fit the ice clipper loops in most harnesses readily. The smaller size also keeps the screws compacted and they tend to not slam against each other or around as much versus larger ones. Main downside is if I need a lot of screws on my harness I ’ m using more of these than I might otherwise with a larger one.

I like the concept because I take a lot of photographs with my phone. It keeps the phone accessible. The only really small issue that I encountered was that the small square pad that sits inside the case under the phone, keeps the iPhone 14 Pro Max from going completely into the Apple Leather Case. [ I have been using the Petzl Djinn draws for over a year as well as a few other companies. The new Spirit draws are the most solid feeling and easiest to clip draw I have used period! Its a bit hard to explain until you try one. I have a few in each size a well so I do not always have to reach for an alpine if I need a little bit more length.

[ The smooth feel and the solid 'clunk' sound of the gates closing is just awesome. They are slightly but noticeably heavier than than the Petzl Spirit Express which have a similar feel and sound. Both are great quickdraws but the DMM has a wider dogbone and are slightly longer which can help with clipping. Attached are a couple of photos for some comparison!
