[ I received this product from influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. Unfortunately the pics I had of this on the ice, are forever lost at the bottom of the lake lol So my unboxing photos will have to do. First thing I have to say, is that this thing is insane. Pictures really do not do this thing justice. I did n't realize how much space there would be inside of this thing. While we usually only had 3 guys fishing out of it at once, there is easily more than enough room for more. There were times we had this thing stacked with people at times during the day and night, just hanging around talking. We had enough room for all of our equipment, sunflower heater, and pretty much a full service grilling station set up to curb those mid- day munchies. Even the tall guys had no problem in this thing. Lots of head room. Living in Minnesota, there are so many variations in environment that come into play that this thing had absolutely no problem with. Even on the big lake superior, with the wind absolutely howling, this ice house handled it like a champ. Strong ice anchors kept it in place with hardly a rattle. Super thick, durable construction, held heat extremely well, and used very little propane on the sunflower after the initial warm up. Zippers are top notch as well. Usually my biggest peeve, but the zippers were free flowing, felt strong, and easy to grab even with big gloves on. Setting up was a breeze as well. Took me longer to cut and clean 3 holes than it did to pop this thing up. Break down was just as easy, which is exactly what you want at the end of day. This ice house is an absolute game changer. I literally can can not think of one con about this at all. If your sick if being cramped in a small hut, or even wish you could have more company join, this is the ticket. I only wish this winter was a little more `` wintery '' Did n't get quite as much time on the ice as previous years.

Integrated lighting is easy to set up and connect. This thing is FANTASTIC!!! Incredibly easy to set up and well built. Set it outside in- 10°f and single panel Mr heater kept it comfortable, even after 4 hours.

Majority of that time was installing the dimmable led lights which are absolutely amazing to have built in! Never knew what I was missing until now. The Clam company does top quality work and uses the best durable fabrics and equipment, this beast is built to last. Max entry doors are great, especially when loading in and out. Love the zippers and the fact that they are excellent quality and easy sliding, that matters in freezing rain and snow. Lightweight and super easy to pack down and set up. [ My first reaction to opening this was `` Oh my gosh, this is so big, I 'm never going to use it ''. Well folks, I was wrong. Backyard party at the house? Used it. Trip to the beach? Used it. Tailgate for a hockey game? Yep. Camping trip? Absolutely. This tent is high quality and versatile. It was a little intimidating to set up initially due to the size, but once my partner and I understood how the quick- set worked, it was a breeze to set up and take down! I absolutely LOVE this tent. My friend that was 6' 0 was so happy to have a tent he could fully stand up straight in, and it kept out all of the bugs when we went to the beach. It folds up to about the same size as an easy up( maybe just a bit longer), and it light enough for one person to carry. I have n't tried to set it up by myself yet, but with two people it's super easy. I imagine that one person could do it alone, but it might be a little tricky just due to the large size and number of walls that it has. The tie downs work great, though I do want to mention that when we took it to the beach on a windy day after a big storm, we used industrial sized stakes to stake it down since we did n't want to take a chance on it blowing away. It never had a single issue with the wind, and kept everyone( and the dogs!) shaded and happy!

Just took this tent camping for the first time. I thought the blockout technology was going to be a gimmick... BOY WAS I WRONG. it was so dark i literally had to have a flashlight to go into my tent. really enjoyed camping in it. it was easy to setup, easy to pull down. lots of space inside. came with a center divider that was not see through. 2 doors on the `` front '' and one on the `` back ''. I 'm going to be completely honest. I went camping one time and it rained so long and so hard that my tent literally flooded inside to 2 1/2 inches of water. I really would love to be able to buy a full rainfly for this tent to make me completely satisfied. I 'm always skeptical of `` water resistant '' tents. Other than that, this tent rocks and i actually want the larger 12 person or 3 section cabin tent with blockout tech. i think my only gripe is that it does n't have a door matt with it. but that is not always a bad thing, and i understand that. PLEASE LET ME BUY A FULL RAINFLY FOR THIS!

Used for the 4th of July holiday. It was 114 degrees out all 4 days. The tent worked out great. We were able to sleep in until around 8 am because it stays so dark but of course it got hot inside with the extreme temps. Any tent would. We are 100% satisfied with our purchase. Set up and take down is quick and easy. Goes back in the bag included easily. My husband is 5 ” 11 and can stand up all the way through the tent. Worth the$ for us.

I 've used MSR products since my teenage years. I 'm now 52. I 'm still using a stainless cook pot from when I hiked the Appalachian Trail when I was 24. MSR makes some of the most reliable gear out there. I bought a hubba hubba 2 and decided to add on the gear shed. First, the tent itself is well thought out and made of high quality materials. Super light as well, even with the additional ground cloth. Second, I do n't know what I would do without the gear shed. I 'm solo motorbiking and the two fit in the tent stuff sack. The shed provides me the room I need for the additional riding gear and a place to throw everything when the afternoon thunderstorms hit. This way I can live a more civilized life in a tent that has plenty of room for playing cards, leaving the wet and smelly stuff outside the tent. [ Bought the Mad House Six to use on a 10- day trip to Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Did n't take the footprint to save weight. Experienced six thunderstorms while camping. Not a drop of rain made it into the tent. Winds were sustained at 40 mph with stronger gusts for two straight hours during the worst storm. Expensive, but worth it!

[ This tent is a little bigger than what we needed as a family( 3people+ 1dog) for weekend camping trips, but that's what we wanted. This is not a cabin tent so I do n't need to worry about high winds causing too much stress on the frame and tent seams. I love that I do n't have to stoop whenever I 'm inside the main part of the tent. The two vestibules created when the rain fly is on the tent are great for leaving muddy shoes outside but still under cover. There were plenty of pockets on the inside of the tent for our stuff and one great thing about them was that the pockets kept your stuff away from the walls... no morning dew on your stuff!!! Setup was simple; follow the directions on the tag of the tent bag. I tried to just logic my way through it the first time and one of my poles got a little bent... not bad, but I felt like an idiot. Followed the directions the text time and it went up easy. Also, 1 person can set this tent up, 2 people is better. 1 person can take this tent down without any difficulty. The rain fly has so many Velcro straps on the underside to wrap around the poles to help keep it in place. I used maybe 2 at each vestibule end and staked out the vestibules. The rest of the fly I left in place using only the clips to the main tent. We were n't expecting much wind so I did n't bother with the rest or the guy lines and the tent did just fine. Also, the seams are taped inside using some kind of flexible water repellant tape/adhesive... awesome!!! I ca n't say how many times I 've camped in the past and the seams are the first place where condensation forms and starts dripping... that's annoying. Taped seams should solve, or at the very least help with that problem. I would definitely recommend this tent.

I already have a 9 person instant tent, which I love. However I wanted something that took up less room in my vehicle. I also have the 10x12 screen tent. This 6 person tent is super easy to setup. I was able to do it by myself in about 10 minutes. The tent has plenty of room, lots of windows and vents for airflow. The tent easily fits back into its carry bag. Have not used the new 10' x 9' tent as of yet due to current winter season. Can not really see difference in material between two tents. Advertisement states a heavier tent material for the 10'x9' model, I hope so. Again the set up is extremely easy and fast even for one person. Wanted to make sure because I often take with me on a solo fishing trip in early March and just wanted to make sure there would be no hassle in setting the tent up. Lots of ventilation ports at the base in a huge area under the rain fly for ventilation including the screens in door and sides which are ideal for the 90+ degree temp we have during the summer months. Great height for this straight wall tent more than 6 feet and center. Will add further comments after first couple of use of the new tent which I am looking forward to as the spring come around. I recommend this tent. The Core company I believes will stand by their products and not disappear overnight as so many in this line of products. Their reputation appears to be very solid.

I have n't used this at the beach or in high winds yet, so I ca n't comment on its durability in those conditions. I 've used it in moderately winter conditions though( 15 mph or so) without issue. I spend an enormous amount of time at my kids' outdoor sports events, especially soccer where there is no shade. This umbrella is perfect for that. Two folding chairs will fit under this even without the ground stake pole attached. Just open it like an umbrella and throw it on the ground and it's ready to go. But if there is wind, you 'll want to use the included anchors. It's also very light for the long walks to the field.

The rain fly was a great quality but may be a tad difficult to put on for one person just because of height. The ONLY gripe I have is how it is next to impossible to get the tent back in the bag, but all tents have this issue. Id recommend not even trying and putting it in a different bag or wrap it in a tarp. Otherwise it is perfect!!

This is a Great product. I had no issues in setting this up. There is tension in the bars that hold up the tent but by not over forcing the extension of these bars it went up easy. I saw posts where others bent the bar but i suspect they were overly aggressive during set up By not rushing into it my tent was up quickly. As for 6 person, if small kids the ok but i am 71 and an air bed is a must. So plenty of room for myself and wife.

Bought this a few months back. We have two children and two dogs. I decided to go big, because when we go campgrounds, I like to have a little more space to move around( I have hiking backpacks for those adventures). This tent did not disappoint. We have it set up with two twins air mattresses on one side, one king on the other, and the dogs sleep in the middle. One mistake I made was assuming all Core 12 Person Footprints are the same. Make sure you get the Straight Wall Cabin Footprint or you 'll be left with one that doesn ’ t quite fit( see picture). I just ordered the new Straight Wall Footprint and can ’ t wait to use it! Overall water resistance is good, we did get rained on one night with no leaks. Airflow is decent with all windows down. If you want to be a bit extra, we did use an EcoFlow Wave 2 portable air conditioner in the tent and it dd help lower the temp and create more airflow at night( TX gets a little warm). Unlike the other 12 Person Instant Tents, this Straight Wall Cabin can be used without staking it into the ground. I enjoy that feature as some places it ’s hard to drive a stake in. The Instant cabin will collapse without it being staked in. The Tent Kit is also a great addition. Everything you need is there and convenient. I can set it up by myself, but is better with 2 people, especially with the rain fly.

Big Tent, Great Quality- But Could Be Better… Missing A Few Things. This tent is really big inside having the straight side wall design. I have the Core 10 person 14 ’ x 10 ’ instant lighted tent to compare this against for reference. The 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent seems twice as roomy, able to push items closer to the tent sides and stand every where in it. The instant tent with the sloped side walls kind of bunches the mass towards the middle and it forces you to stand more central in the tent. But the instant tent with the built light in makes for a nice feature. Also, the 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent is missing the long mesh storage pockets that come with the 14 ’ x 10 ’ instant tent. The instant tent has mesh storage along each end of it that runs side to side and several smaller mesh pouches strategically placed around the tent. The 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent only has a small mesh storage pouch placed on opposite ends of the tent. Give me the long storage pockets and a built in light and this tent would be the best around. It ’s already great with the space it provides and the material/build quality. It was a little time consuming to assemble by myself, but very intuitive with color coded poles that “ pop ” together when unfolding for length and easy insertion into the pole loops. Take down is a breeze, quick and efficient. I ’ ve put it up twice and camped overnight once having just purchased it. Wanted to try putting in all the stuff the wife and I bring camping- air mattress, small tables, chairs, coolers, etc. No buyer ’s remorse, just can ’ t wait for cooler weather and longer camping trips. I ’ ve had the 14 ’ x 10 ’ instant tent for several week long trips and was always moving items around to get at things or find a place to sit and stand. This 16 ’ x 11 ’ tent will put an end to that. I would recommend the 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent for a family needing space and freedom to move around inside with several occupants.

I ordered this screen house online at our local Dick's store to take advantage of a local discount offered through our town. I appreciated the ability to compare several other sizes, folded up and unfolded, which led me to go for this size. It showed up nearly a week EARLIER than the estimate given when ordered, and my wife and I immediately took it to our back yard to try to set it up for the first time. The instructions were clear enough and we thought we were all set, but discovered that we had inadvertently allowed a portion of the roof to be turned back over one of the roof/wall intersections. Once we fixed that, it literally popped up into shape. Even with that self- inflicted delay, we had it up in well under 5 minutes. Take down was equally easy. The main reason we went with this screen house was that our previous screen house top was held up by 4 crossing poles which did NOT support the center and turned the old house into a rain- trapping, useless mess. Not so with this design. It supports the mid- point of the roof so it drains. Looking forward to using it when we camp later this summer.

Forget how beautiful and visable the color is against fresh white snow! This tent can handle 2. 5 ft of heavy wet snow loading, as I discovered LAST winter in the Catskill Mountains, NY. Now I have 100% complete confidence that it can handle 40- 50 mph winds, that is wind, NOT gusts, as well. For myself solo, the 3P with vestibule is my Kingdom. Sharing the tent with friend was acceptable. Not too cramped and we were able to melt snow, cook, eat, lay down, sit up, lounge, stretch, sleep, hang out, change clothing and not bump heads. Plenty of space. The vestibule, I feel is mandatory in bad weather.. Definitely with 2 people in there and if you plan on being mostly tent bound. The entry doors/bay windows are fantastic for views and ventilation, let a! one entering and exiting. My only 2 grips are small, tight toggles and latches for the doors! Very hard to do in freezing weather, bare handed.. With gloves even harder, but this is something I can probably modify myself, or not, because its not that bad, just could be better. The 2nd gripe is the storm flap on the vestibule door can snag easy if you not careful. And in bad weather sometimes you may want to close it up quickly... So be careful. But that's the vestibule and this is review of tent.. So disregard. I wish I could post pictures of it in action. I also love the blue on the inside!! Its cheery and inspiring even on the dark gloomy days.. stimulate the mind a bit!! This tent is almost the unicorn! Search it on you tube!

Have used this tent in multiple climates and terrain. It ’s the perfect size for 1 person with a good amount of gear. Will work for 2 people. Holds well up to water without vestibule. Confusing to set up at first with poles used inside of tent. Very lite weight tent for back packing. Kept warm in 20 degrees and held up in 50+ wind. I do recommend buying vestibule to use for gear storage and heavy rain.

I bought this tent maybe 5 years ago now and it has held up through more than I ever thought it would. I 've camped recreationally a number of times but I 've also been in a couple situations where I was homeless and had to make this tent my home and I could not have asked for a better product, i lived in this tent in the cold and the hot in nice weather and storms with 50mph gusts of wind where the side wall was on my face while I was sleeping. I want to express my gratitude to core equipment for making an incredibly solid product at an affordable price so thank you and keep up the good work.

Received our wine colored purchase 6/4/24 and set it up in the back yard. Forecast predicted showers and thunderstorms the next couple days so wanted to put it to the test. IT PASSED with flying colors IMO. Predicted thunderstorm came through the night of 6/5 in our north Alabama county. Watched the tent sway with wind gusts of, I ’ d say, 40mph. Was a bit concerned as I was watching but it held up and stayed anchored. Now, I did use Coghlans 7 ” aluminum stakes as opposed to those provided and insert on a 30- 45 degree angle as well.

We 've had this tent for about three years now and still going strong. We were in an all night rainstorm and it was bone dry the next morning, even in the screen room. Now we do waterproof it annually but that's just regular tent maintenance.

I ’ ve been issuing REI tents for years, thought I ’ d give this one a go. It is insanely light and quick to set up. It ’s handled well in snow storms up in the Wasatch and windstorms out in Moab. Make sure you grab a ground layer, but other than that it ’s a great purchase
