[ First off I like Fjallraven products for their quality. I beat things up clothes and vehicles( I have my truck rhino lined for a reason). As a wildlife photographer I am in the hills a lot in all weather conditions so I can say I have beat this thing up even in the short time I have had it and expect it to keep up with the other jackets I have with the same material. For those days that I do n't need a insulated outer layer but also want something that wo n't get shredded by the underbrush this jacket is perfect- lots of pockets for random photo gear- extra batteries, SD cards- off the shelf this is n't as water/wind resistant as I would have hoped but a quick coat of extra wax did the job:).

[ I purchased this jacket for wet and cool weather in Stockholm and Copenhagen. I even did a full waxing before I left which was super easy to do. Check out a video to do it correctly. Fortunately the weather was warm and dry so I did not get a proper chance to check out the jacket for its main purpose. But fall in NY is coming and I plan to put it through its paces. And I did wear the jacket on the flight overseas and it was great to have. I love all of the pockets and compartments this jacket has. I ca n't rate the performance until my first walk in the rain.

[ Purchased this after my favorite KUHL jacket of a similar design gave it up…pilled, zippers tore, etc. Anyway, bought the Fjallraven a size smaller to be more form fitting and as a warm solo in just cool weather and under layer when cold. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ” and 185. This jacket is now my favorite. Tighter weave, no pilling expected, warmer and a great fit. Yeh, the zippers aren ’ t great but they won ’ t snag due to they are protected with flaps(?). Plus there are cinches in the side pockets. Not sure how they work but we ’ ll see.

[ This is a great looking fleece! The fit is a little slim and very comfortable with plenty of length in the arms for someone tall, slim, and lanky like I am. And the size chart is very accurate. Size small is just right for a 6 foot tall, 135lb weirdo like me. The material itself feels quality with a very tight knit in the polyester fabric. It 's light and not too thick and still provides the mid- level warmth I was hoping for. The long collar also zips all the way up comfortably just in case the wind starts blowing too. The shoulder material is also pretty great if you 're in and out of a backpack often. One gripe I do have is that the pockets are n't fully insulated. They 're more of a mesh material on the inside, so they do n't do a fantastic job of keeping bare hands warm, especially if its windy. Not a big enough issue to drop a full star off, but might knock it down to 4. 5/5 if I had the option.

[ Overall it 's a good fleece jacket, thick enough to keep you warm with an outer jacket. However, it is definitely a mid- layer as far as it is by no means windproof. So I would not rely on it without a shell layer. Do not be misled by references to the reinforcement by G- 1000 fabric. There are just small accents on the shoulders, more of a design feature than any practical functions. This fleece is true to size. A high and tight collar is a real lifesaver in winter, as well as a drawcord at hem. A big pro is that the fleece has a nice texture, trendy accents like leather pullers on zippers, and a tight fit. Hence you may wear it both on a trail and out in a city or office.

This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket 's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.

I love the fit and feel. Very lightweight, which I wanted, as a summer weight jacket. The stretch improves the fit and feel over my other bomber. The only things I would change is; Add the original bomber style shoulder pockets and tool sleeves, maybe even on both sides. A velcro shoulder patches with a cover that matches the jacket fabric to hide the velcro if preferred. Stretch cordura or something cut resistant to protect in the shop against sheet metal edges or on the street for self defence. Hand pocket designed more like the original without the flap. Or maybe different bomber offerings.

[ This is my third fjallraven jacket cuz they 're just that good. I 'd say my favorite jacket is actually the Latt hooded puffer just because of the versatility( you can wash it easily!) And it 's a bit of a lower profile. But the pack down jacket is phenomenal as well for when I 'm less active. My only complaint is the yellow drawstrings for the hood contrasted against the white stops that keep them in place. The yellow looks great with all the fabrics, but with the white stopper thingies, they look like sunny side eggs. Sorry if you ca n't now unsee it Buy this is you want something super soft and warm, especially with a wool sweater underneath it, but buy the Latt if you want something that can get wet and it typically a better choice if you 're being active. Just know that the Latt is a little thinner in the arms and more fitted PS if you 're between this and the Cotopaxi, this is definitely a heavier jacket and I have yet to lose a single feather which is n't the case with the colorful llama

Initial inspection ended with all seems, zippers and surfaces being in good condition and well made. It withstood the test of heavy winds and salt water leaving nothing to be desired. I like the jacket for downhill( lift) skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb:- The hood covers the entire helmet and stays up. I like to ski with my hood up when it 's a bit cold.- The big, wide collar to zips up to cover most of my face even when wearing a thick face covering.- It has appropriate insulation. You need extra layers underneath when it 's cold but it should be quite wearable for spring skiing with just a shirt on underneath.- Pockets are where they should be and the right size. Some suggestions for improvement:- There is no place to attach a whistle which would be close to the mouth. The zipper pulls where I would normally attach a whistle are solid and not useful for that purpose. This is quite important when skiing a big mountain resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. There really needs to be a place to attach a whistle near the mouth. I may get a little loop sown in some place on the jacket.- The inside chest zipper pocket should be on the inside of the insulation rather than the outside. This would keep the phone and other electronics warmer.- It would be nice if the collar was just a bit higher, maybe by a centimeter or so. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the jacket so far.

The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. If anything, I would prefer zippered internal pockets but that ’s just me being nit picky.

Bought this on a very cold day. The fit was perfect. Have n't had much of a chance to wear it since that very cold day has passed. The hood was a little irritating... kept rubbing the side of my face when not wearing it. Guess it needs a little more wear time to break in. Extremely warm!

I have been looking for a good puffer jacket for my upcoming trip to Paris. I 've tried on several different brands and styles of jackets, and none of them came anywhere near close, compared to the Canyonlands Hybrid. The slim fit is absolutely perfect and very flattering, and I really like the features like zippered side pockets and the deep- well interior pockets that will hold my larger items, making it perfect for travel. This is a quality rain jacket- durable and I love the look. The kangaroo pocket adds something different from your average rain jacket and looks great! I wore this the other day in 25+ mph wind gusts. I wore it over my flannel shirt and it was comfortable enough to pull over my existing clothing choice. The jacket was very easy to pull over existing clothes. As a bonus, it ’s also easy to take off and it doesn ’ t rip off your existing clothing when you pull it over your head. The jacket is a bit wider, but that ’s so it can fit over your existing clothes. The bottom has string you can tie up to cinch the jacket for a tighter and more wind- resistant fit so it won ’ t flop around in the wind gusts. The hood also has a string for the same purpose. The jacket held up pretty good in the wind. I ’ d imagine if it was much colder it wouldn ’ t be that great. But it was in the 50s with a lot of wind. It appears to be a good choice for a rain situation, but was unable to test that out. I would definitely recommend this jacket for hiking, camping, or any even on the golf course.
