I 've had this boot for 2 weeks and it has held up well with hourly patrols which total around 15, 000- 20, 000 steps a day. Pair it with compression socks or nicely padded merino wool socks and you wo n't have any foot pain at all. I 'm 250lb so it should be even more comfortable for those people who weigh less and are in better shape than me.

I purchased these boots and the waterproof version. The waterproof apparently runs smaller. I 'm still `` breaking '' these boots in but for far they feel much better than the other waterproof set. Fits my width more comfortably and more true to size with length.

I work as a land surveyor and walk/ hike several hours a day. The terrain is often uneven and rocky. I also tend to have `` hot '' feet. Any boot with a `` water proof '' label are guaranteed to have me feet wet from sweat within 2 hours. These boots keep my feet dry, cool, and comfortable. I 've been working outside in work boots for 35 years, and I 've worked all over the world. These might be the best boots I 've ever had. I still need to judge the durability, but so far, so good. These come out the box with a good insole and minimal break in time, I ’ ve had some 14- 18 hour days on them and while my feet are tired and fatigued at the end of the day, they don ’ t hurt. They also provide great ankle support. I ’ ve worn it hiking, inside of shoothouse training, and during hog hunts and it ’s been a very reliable sturdy shoe for me. While it may be labeled “ waterproof ” I wouldn ’ t walk through deep water or soak them for hours on end and expect perfectly dry feet, it ’s unrealistic and not what it ’s built for in my opinion, it will keep them dry in rain or more shallow ankle deep water, or walking through wet fields. However nothing is perfect, if your looking for something to keep your feet from sweating this isn ’ t it, with them being the waterproof version your feet are going to sweat pretty good, I knew this going into it and therefor it didn ’ t bother me. But I would recommend a different version if you want a nice breathable shoe. The other thing I would change is how thick the tongue is, it doesn ’ t really rub or create hot spots or sit weird it ’s just a personal preference thing for me.

I was searching for a comfortable shoe that would clear the metal detector at work, and these were recommended to me. I did n't need to break them in at all, they are n't too stiff. Most comfortable boots I 've ever owned. When I first put these on in the store, I had to run a couple laps up and down the isles, simply because they were so comfortable. Better than any running shoe I 've used. I bought these last year for a 9 day canoe camping trip in the Canadian wilderness, and these puppies kept up. I 've continued to use them for hiking, climbing, urbex, and rucking. Still no complaints. Do not buy these if you plan on keeping your feet dry. It's simply not what they 're made for. Unless you 're walking through water where your boot is fully submerged, I would n't go for these if you 're only walking through deep puddles or shallow water, as your socks will get wet. The whole purpose of this shoe is to drain quickly and dry quickly. Very rarely do you get excited to use a pair of boots, but these will get you excited to go out and play. Not endorsed, just love my boots. Its a shame they 're being discontinued.

These are a replacement pair for the same boot style i bought 2 years ago, They fit the same as the old ones. Just needed some new ones due to getting deer blood on the previous pair. Comfy and hold up well. Worn daily from the street to the field. They do dry quickly. They have good ankle support when hunting mushroom in the hills and are nice and quite when stalking game, with proper foot placement I went with a half size up this time to account for thicker socks in the winter.

My first hunting boots. Haven ’ t stress tested them yet with any backcountry or serious hiking activities but wearing them around town and the outdoor shooting range, they ’ re very comfortable. I have size 13 feet and while they ’ re sturdy, they don ’ t make me feel like Herman Munster. As to sizing, I ’ m a 13 in Nike and a 12. 5 in adidas. The Danner Vital in 13 is a perfect fit. The brown color looks tough but not tactical. Feels appropriate in all settings.

I buy 2 pair of boots every year and half to two years, 1pair of uninsulated and 1pair of insulated, I have never bought a pair of boots that have been as comfortable right out of the box as these boots have been. Danner has changed my way of thinking about boots in general, I 've always bought rockys or irish setters and the like, that wo n't happen again

Great stability I ’ ve been in Alabama hunting turkey and they have been wonderful up and down these hills. The boots are made of great quality and everyone comments on the camo. I will buy insulated ones this fall if they have my size! On top of these I purchased the lace up snake boots and I ’ ve had them on all day today and they are wonderful boots!
