Two issues- one, as another reviewer commented, the bar comes with what I assume is an anti- rust coating that's a little messy to remove. It would be nice if some instructions came for that. I did spend on my normal Olympic bar but got this one to save money and get skull crushers in. First thing I did was a practice curl and noticed the noise. Shot some Blaster into the gaps on each end( pic) and no more squeak. Definitely glad I did n't pay more for this type of item. It ’s doing everything I need it to do, and I ’ m really enjoying it, The only problem I have found is that, in one of the 20 pound plates, when I pick it up and move it around I can hear what sounds like water sloshing inside, and it seems like some parts of the plate are hollow. This is only the case for one of the plates, the others are perfect, but I ’ m not sure what to do about the plate…

Easy curl barbell
I purchased the Body Solid OB47B Olympic Curl Bar a few weeks ago. I love it. It is well built and should meet anyone ’s expectations. When I received the bar, it was covered with exes grease for shipping. It came with a small toe tag note explaining the grease. I only wish the note was in a bigger size to draw quicker attention to it.

This is a very good curl bar, only problem I have is the bar seem to have or is trying to develop rust. I guess they didn ’ t keep it oiled, but other then that, this is a very good curl bar for the price. I would definitely order it again if I had to

I got this bar about a month ago. I started using it out of the box as soon as I got it. I had to clean the sleeves because they do n't spin as freely nor as quuietly as they should. I bought a 12mm Hex Wrench so I was ready to clean them. The bolts were tight, but not as tight as bolts I had on the Tricep Bar that I also have. The bolts were a little dirty. I had to brush off some grime from the threads. After greasing the contact points, the sleeves spun freely and quietly. The black finish looks good and it also protects the bar from rust.

This bar does the job. Smooth rotation and the right width for me( 6' 2 '' tall). I use it as a part of my tricep push down exercises. This bar performs well during low rows and bicep curl exercises as well. The bar's finish is excellent. I would strongly recommend this bar and I am glad I purchased it from Dick's.

During the pandemic, I drove from Charlotte to Greenville/Spartanburg to buy some dumbbells. I saw an Ethos barbell on the floor in the store and decided to buy it as well. Great buy! This barbell got me through the pandemic doing CrossFit WODs on my garage. I drop it from overhead squats with no problem. I deadlift 385 and the bar is still straight. No rust. Still spins perfectly fine. I think at the time it only cost around$ 150. At$ 250, I honestly might just go to Fringe, given the difference in customer ratings. It's been great for me though.

I purchased the Bowflex SelectTech 2080 set this previous Thursday. I was originally looking for the fixed set of straight and curl bars, similar to the ones at the commercial gyms. When I came across the Bowflex SelectTech 2080 I knew this was the route to go for space- savings in my home gym! Prior to purchasing I had done some extensive research and was excited to make the purchase. I am 100% satisfied with the 2080 set and stand! I have used this in my workouts from Day 1 of receiving. Exercises include, skull crushers, bicep curls, shoulder press movements. I love the functionality and space- savings I am getting out of the 2080 set! As far as durability, I can see this product lasting for a long time. Granted, I am pretty easy on my equipment so no issues or concerns for reliability from the 2080 set. Another great aspect to this product is the styling! This set looks beautiful in my home gym setup! I ’ ve had multiple friends come join my workout this past weekend and say that looks nice! I have been using this bar for 2 months. I use it for 150 to 175 lbs sets and the bar does not deflect at all. What I like best is that the handles are in perfect alignment. so, this gives me great balance to work both sides of my back. Great bar.
