Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). I ’ m somewhat new to running( consistently) and quickly realized that I needed to invest in a good pair of running shoes. I was suggested a few alternative brands that provided maximum support but honestly, I wasn ’ t a big fan of the style and color ways. Sorry not sorry I do like a “ look ” while staying active. I did a bit of research and went in store to try on the Vomero. I ’ ve tried previous models over the years and preferred Pegasus in the past but the 18 has truly lived up to its purpose. I ’ m probably less than 50 miles in, mainly on road. Ran a 5K fun run in these after only 2 days of breaking them in, and hit my PR on my first test run with these. Various pain points have subdued. In comparison, I went to a competitors try on run recently where I tested their equal and felt an immediate discomfort. I quickly changed back into my V18. I ’ m interested to see how they hold up as I continue to train at longer distances. I currently have the “ coconut milk ” color, which is like a vintage off- white, to match my go- to black on black attire. I ’ m really considering getting a “ fun ” color for the summer if these stick.

From what I 've been told, it is recommended that you take a stroll in new running shoes to warm them up and stretch them out a bit. However, I took these shoes on a run fresh out of the box and it felt great. This is not normal for me by the way. I 'm a flat- footed monster with wide feet and if the shoe does n't fit while I 'm running, it can get extremely painful. The Pegasus always seem to deliver for me. I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

Well. I bought 4 pairs. These are everything I was hoping for. Essentially a springy, barefoot run with great energy return. All have worn well unless I try to take them off without undoing the laces, or scrape them on concrete. I wear mine daily. I have narrow feet with exceptionally high arches. I purchased these online for an upcoming trip to Japan and was shocked to discover that they are Mount Fuji themed! That might have been enough to sway me, but they were also extremely comfortable, very stable for my ankle issues, and they sat a little lower on the ankle than some other styles, which helped because I have a painful spot that needs surgery. The colors are fun as well, but most of all I expect them to be very comfortable for walking around all over Japan! The style I ordered is the white one that has speckles along the outsole. I am normally a women ’s size 9 and purchased the 9 1/2, and it fits perfectly.

I am an intermediate level runner. I had been using the Asics MetaEdge for years! I started to have some slight hip pain with their newest design. These shoes have a similar heel to toe drop. I put them on and in 2 days ran a total of 17 miles with ZERO problems! Not a blister, not a hot spot, and zero joint pain! These shoes are supportive, while still being lightweight. This is my first purchase of On shoes-- I generally buy cheaper shoes but then have to use inserts after about a month to maintain comfort. These were more pricy than I usually buy, but they were on sale, and so far I have zero regrets.- They are very comfortable. I do n't even notice them.- They are lighter colored and I am clumsy; I expected them to be stained within a couple days. I have been pleased to find that dirt/grime/spills wipe off of them easily.- I can be on my feet all day and my feet are n't tired To be honest, the only `` complaint '' I have so far is that the laces do n't stay tied all the time. Sometimes I have to retie them. I can live with that. Also( and this has nothing to do with the shoes) this is the first time I 've ever ordered from Dick 's and they made the ordering and delivery process a pleasure. Have `` toe protector ''. Easy to put on: able to press my foot into them. I remove the insole that comes with them and wear them with my custom orthotics. Bought them in `` black '', which in this shoe is a cross between a dark grey and black. Would like it even more if the black were a true dark black, like the comfortable stretchy laces that the shoes come with. With these shoes I need to order 1/2 size up from some other brands. Recommend this shoe and this brand.

I absolutely love the Guide 18s! I am training for a half marathon, typically run 30- 40 miles a week. The past few months, I 've gone through several other shoes, had lots of trouble with blisters. This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I totally recommend these to any fellow flat footed runner, especially if you ’ re just starting out. I ’ ve taken them on trails, pavement, track, and they feel fantastic.
