[ What an amazing pair of shoes! I wore them on a long weekend trip to New Hampshire. My hubby and I do a lot of hiking/ trail running and we love to explore new places each time we go. I was beyond pleased with these shoes. The fit was true to size( I am a size 8), the cushion was supportive and made it feel like I was walking on air. Each step literally had a bounce to it. The fabric was breathable and kept my feet cool. I was comfortable and pain free despite walking miles each day through different types of terrain. The traction was really good too and I had no issue climbing rocks even when it was wet out. I do love the colors and felt the shoe looked really stylish on. The off white color did get a bit dirty from some muddy conditions though. I found that spot cleaning with soap and water did a great job at getting the dirt off. I would definitely recommend these- they are the only shoes I will wear on a trail from now on.

[ This Keen Targhee Apex is a comfortable shoe! One of the first things I noticed is how quiet the outsole and midsole were when walking around the store on carpet and cement. They 've since been on a dusty hike and a rainy road- to- trail hike. Nice cushioning, stability, and no dust nor water got inside the shoes. Since these shoes are nearly white you can see that some dirt has stayed in the crease on the forefooot even after being hosed off.( Again, no water got inside.) Fit wise, these have a neutral insole, roomier toebox, and wider heel. To keep my foot from sliding forward and to have a better fit for my heel I will add Superfeet insoles. This shoe runs true to size so I went up 1/2 a size to allow for swelling on longer and hot hikes. Nice shoe. I look forward to seeing how it feels after putting more miles on it.

I love them with leggings and they look cute with straight- leg jeans as well. I will say they 're not the most breathable shoes, but I do n't expect leather shoes to be that. I like these boots. I work in a prison and needed a black boot that looks smart and conforms to our uniform dress code. There really isnt a lot out there for women which fit the bill. I have shopped at all the competitors sites, have ordeed from others only to immediately send them back because the boots made by others tend to not be made for thebshape of a womans foot. I required something made to fit a woman's foot so that I would be less likely to suffer injury. I required something relatively water resistant, and professional- looking. Though these boots were not intended to be uniform tactical boots, the all- black color choice are the closest I could get in terms of fit, comfort, and appearance... and made for a woman's foot. These boots are comfortable, sturdy, and the Vibram outsole is exactly what I need to help me stay on my feet while walking on a variety of surfaces, and standing for long stretches of time on concrete while tending to my duties. I have not, as yet, wirn them to work... but I have worn them around the house and outside. These are, handsdown, the most comfortable prospects I have yet worn as far as a boot I intend to wear to work. I do wish, however, that Merrell would make a duty boot for female officers, with vibram outsole, polishable toe, and made tonwithstand the worst winter weather the Northern Great Lakes region can throw at them. But... for now... mthese boots wornnwith warm woolnsocks will have to do. At least, they will be comfortable and look good.

I ordered the Merrell for the first time in years. I usually need a wide shoe but occasionally can get by with ordering a 1/2 size up in a regular width. The trouble is knowing whether I was going to be an 8. 5 or a 9 in the Merrell shoe. This 9 Merrell still fits a bit too snug for me. I also got the same pair in black in the 9 Wide and it turns out the Wide shoe will become my everyday shoe and this one will be pulled out when I need a lighter color. Very comfortable once you find the right size for yourself.

Bought these shoes for my 250 km camino walk and did it for 9ndays, portugal to Spain and it was to best shoes for walking miles and miles in cobbles stones, sand and mountain 1000 meters high for miles! Got back home and still in good condition.

I wore these hikers during my recent trip to Northern California. My feet stayed dry during heavy downpours of rain on trail hikes and walking on the beach. My only problem was the tongue on my left shoe rubbed against my ankle. I wore thicker socks and that helped the situation.

I want to love them. They are extremely light and the ankles feel supportive without digging. Unfortunately they are a half size too small for me. I was also disappointed to see they arrived dirty and scuffed, with muddy soles and dog hair inside and out.

I 've taken these boots on multiple 10+ mile hikes now and can say I absolutely love them. They 're very comfortable in steep terrain or for long scrambles. I 've worn them in snow, rain, and hail and can say they 're definitely waterproof! I work outdoors and walk tens of thousands of steps every day in every possible type of weather. I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. So, while I 'm cautiously optimistic that my Merrells will outlast their competitors, I can confidently say that these are unequivocally the most lightweight, comfy and waterproof boot I have tried. Did n't even give me blisters as they broke in! All around, I 'm in love with the boots and am just desperately hoping their longevity is as impressive as their first impression.

An immediate good fit, easy to lace, ample toe box for my older feet, love the tab on the back to help pull them on, and waterproof! The traction on the sole is spaced well. It does not collect excessive mud/etc. I would highly recommend these boots over other popular brands I have had before them.

When I picked the box up from my step, I thought “ no way this has shoes in it. ” They ’ re very low profile compared to my other tennis shoes and make my feet look cute 🥰 Be aware that if you like a lot of support, these may not be the shoes for you. I began eyeing these boots( along with a few other pairs of Danners) when I really got into hiking this past year, but was hesitant to purchase as I 've seen a million reviews( on literally every hiking boot ever made) that talks about the break- in requirement and resulting blisters, foot pain, lost toenails and the likes. I committed to a winter hiking hut trip this past month and knew that I needed something waterproof and after window shopping( literally every boot tailored for women who love the great outdoors) kept coming back to these. After weeks of considering my options, I decided to take the plunge on these. I received my order about 10 days before the hut trip. The first day I trying them on they felt great, but the second day( when I intended to start wearing them every minute of every day to break them in pre- trip) I noticed that they felt quite roomy, despite having ordered exactly as the size chart indicated. I immediately began looking for a half size smaller and low and behold, they were sold out everywhere. Despite my immediate panic, with lack of better options I ended up committing to the size ordered paired with a thick pair of wool socks for the trip( 6. 5ish miles each way, 2kish in elevation gain on the way up). I am delighted to report that despite feeling a bit roomy when I tried them on, the wool socks made the fit perfect. The trip up proved to be the most foot- comfy hike I 've ever had! My feet stayed entirely warm, which has never happened without Hot Hands in my socks in winter hikes for me. Beyond that, the boots were completely submerged in snow due to post- holing multiple times throughout the weekend, but my feet stayed 100% dry the entire trip. These paired well with my Kahtoola microspikes and Orvis snowshoes. All in all I 'm completely impressed and can not wait to hike more in these boots. If you have gear anxiety and are on the fence about ordering these( like I was), I highly encourage you to get off the fence and order! My initial impression is that this is the best boot purchase I could 've made.

I was looking for a supportive sole with low heel drop as well as a rounded toe box. My second toe is a bit long, so the toe box shape is perfect. And my foot is a bit narrow, especially in the heel region. The Sirens offer a good fit profile for me. No slop in the shoe but no pinching either. These are very well- made. The Vibram sole is sure to last a long time given their hiking boot pedigree.
