I bought this hat with a trip to somewhere sunny in mind. It worked out nicely and I love the brim being so wide compared to other hats that I have. It gives a nice amount of coverage and is easy to take on and off without messing up my hair. It does n't hold in heat since it's open at the top. Perfect for hot weather.

I have worn a gambler straw hat when playing golf for more years than I can remember. They are comfortable, cool and good sun protection. Emphasis on the sun protection. I have no real skin problems compared to my golf friends who wear caps. That was n't the reason I originally wore the hat but it is now. Tip you can dunk the hat in a sink to clean it and then wear on a hot day.

Love it. Comfortable, breathable, and stylish. Is feminine- looking and offers good coverage without being too dorky.;) I wear hats all day most days, and swap between caps, full brim western hats. This one has quickly displaced many of my other go- to hats! Only complaint is I 'm not a big fan of velcro closures. The velcro does work well, but I 'd always rather a strap with slide buckle for an adjustable hat.

My head is on the big side, and this hat is perfectly roomy and comfortable. It ’s great for summer! I wear it in the pool to keep the sun out of my eyes, and it dries quickly and the chlorine hasn ’ t caused any discoloration. I ’ ve also been able to toss it in the washing machine without incident( but I do air dry it). I did cut the strings off( just not my thing!), but they ’ re great for the people who want to secure it a bit better. It stays just fine without them!
