So, comfort, air circulation and price were the three most important factors in my choice. When you 're 80 years old, style does n't really matter. My wife has had this helmet for several years. She wore it pretty regularly until this past summer. Last year she decided that helmets were unnecessary and did not really provide much protection and that their effectiveness was overrated. I never wore a helmet so it was no concern to me. I have n't been an active cyclist in about 7 years. I am finally getting geared up again. My experience with smartphone holders in the past was terrible. I knew that manufacturers just had n't figured out a good solution yet. Zippers, bags with plastic screen protectors that did n't work, one size DID NOT fit all, especially for Android. To small- framed people with thicker legs: I 'm 5' 3 '' 135 lbs with muscular legs. I 've read too many reviews of women's legs suffocating from the knee pads in the combo protective gear packs. I bought these separately and I 'm very satisfied with the product. I 'm able to wear these pads with the top strap about halfway velcroed and the bottom strap maybe 3/4 velcroed. They 're a little bulky, but I 'm able to maneuver on skates to the point where I forget I 'm wearing the pads. The only thing about buying the knee pads and wrist guards a la carte is that Dick's does n't sell elbow pads outside of the set, so I 'm still on the hunt for those.

I 've had the hardest time finding a bike bag to put my Galaxy S21 in. Everything I 've tried has either been too small or has bumped against my legs as I pedal. Fortunately, the medium Aero Wedge does the trick. With some careful positioning, it can hold my phone along with a bike multitool, tubeless repair kit, and a little bottle of hand sanitizer, without having to unzip the expansion zipper. I did have to fiddle with the attachment straps a little. The bag sits farther forward than others I 've tried, and I needed to lower it slightly so the zipper does n't get hung up on the bottom of the saddle.

While i did not own a helmet my wife has a helmet that she Periodically wears, mostly when biking with her parents, who wear helmets. I am pretty sure it is the first helmet ever made. I actually think it is older than she is, possibly a hand me down from a much older sibling who likely never wore it. I started looking and found a signal in white at DSG. I bought it and tried it on and was satisfied with how it fit. I did not wear it until my ride that required it. Finally i wore it on the ride, WOW It had an awesome fit and i was happy with the number of vents and how light it was. Darn it is so well vented light and comfortable you dont even know you have it on. Yesterday we decided to take an all day ride and i said that I would wear my new helmet so of course my wife wore hers. Halfway through she asked …no begged me to try my helmet. On several occasions she mentioned how nice it was compared to her ancient helmet. When we switched back she only wore her helmet briefly before removing it and hanging it on the handle bars and announcing she wanted a new helmet too. Any questions just ask my wife.

With the above in mind, I figured why wait until I knocked my teeth out or broke my jaw to get a full- face helmet?! So, I dug in and did my research and settled on the Super DH MIPS Helmet. And, I am glad I did!... I just returned from a trip to Bentonville and had a nasty crash on a gap jump I missed. While the helmet did n't prevent me from shattering my collarbone( surgically repaired with 10 pins and a titanium plate), my melon was completely protected and unharmed from my OTB and trail bouncing. In fact, the helmet is no worse for the wear and ready for more action. Why did I chose the Super DH MIPS Helmet? 1) Tons of venting and a super comfy fit( Yes, your head will still get a bit warmer than having no face- guard. But, it's not as bad as many people say.). In fact, I wore it both climbing and descending, as well as on the features I road( I love skinnies). 2) Quick and easy removal of the face- guard( But, it defeats the purpose of having it... it's for unplanned accidents.). 3) Great visibility and glasses or goggles fit it perfectly( I wear slightly larger sunglasses, googles seem like overkill for my riding purposes). 4) DH rated and MIPS technology—Why go full- face if it is n't rated for the most extreme riding you may experience?! 5) Bell history and quality.
