This was my first pair of HOKAs and they were well worth the money! I traveled to Portugal and did lots of walking and stairs. I always have knee soreness with other sneakers, but I wore these all 7 days of our trip and did n't have any knee pain whatsoever! I 'm so impressed. They are water resistant which is a huge plus, they wiped clean and look new even after going through a couple downpours. The tread was sturdy on slippery cobblestone streets, too. While I initially bought my regular size, they felt a tad long so I returned and got a half size down in a Wide and they fit perfectly. I highly recommend these for their quality, comfort, function, and style!

The zip closure is convenient and allows you to loosen or tighten the shoes “ on the fly ” when you need to make an adjustment. [ I 'm an Altra enthusiast. My last pair fell apart after so little wear so I decided to give these Hokas a go. They are n't as blocky as the other Hoka models and have loads of grip. There's a little more of a heel lift to these vs. the Altra Olympus, but not much. They run pretty wide. I put orthotics in mine and they 're really supportive; I can hike for hours and my feet do n't even get tired!

I bought these sandals because they do not flex and do not damage my feet. The problem with flexible shoes is that they damage feet. A podiatrist told me to wear non- flexible shoes, so he introduced me to HOKA shoes, which do not flex as he said. I later saw HOKA sandals and realized I needed these too because they do not flex as well. Other sandals flex and damage feet which is not good. Overall, the sandals are wonderful.
