I bought this 2 yrs ago for a long weekend trip. I do n't like to check luggage so this was perfect for a carry on. I was able to OVER pack for a 3- 4 day trip multiple times. This is the only bag I use now. I was able to fit an extra pair of sneakers and flip flops in the side compartments and utilized the spot for my 13 '' iPad. The shoulder straps come in key since the bag can fit a heavy amount of clothes.

I do have one little gripe( not with the bag, but the packaging) You guys wrap all of the zippers in tape and paper, I 'm assuming to protect them from getting scratched. Do you know when it will absolutely get scratched? When I 'm trying to cut the tape off. Let them be free! Anyway, I love this design. The ripstop pants are very comfortable. It is nice to have relaxed fit pants that also have an elastic waist when working. I work outside with fruit trees and having comfort while bending, squatting, or climbing ladders is important. My only complaint is that these pants do not keep me cool in the summer. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I have n't gotten to wear these out yet, but from trying them I think they 're going to be great for the summer! I work outside, and finding comfortable shorts that are n't too short is definitely tricky. I would suggest sizing down, based on the size chart I needed a 2X, but I tried on the XL in store and they have PLENTY of room. They have a 6 '' inseam, which is a little longer than I usually like, but will still be comfortable. Rated durability a 3 because I have n't really put them to the test yet.

If I were to travel on a budget airline, I would probably not stuff it full, since the dimensions are a little big for that. For my solo trips, I brought only this backpack and a small tote bag. I traveled on a train, to a plane, to another train. I ’ m a bit of an overpacker, but was able to fit more than enough clothes for all the days, and some extra creature comforts. It was a little heavy when fully packed, but that ’s just physics. One of my friends even commented on how impressed they were that I got everything to fit into that bag. I thought I would need to get a smaller water bottle, but I fit my 40 oz Owala in the water bottle pocket with no problems. I liked the waist strap and the chest strap. The zipper pockets within the backpack are great, allowed me to stay more organized when traveling than I usually am. I fit three iPads in the laptop compartment. The other bags I was looking at had a laptop compartment that unzipped all the way, and honestly, as a forgetful person( I. e., someone who might forget to close the zipper all the way) that looked really dangerous to me. The laptop compartment zipper has a small piece of fabric at the top that helps to hold the zipper in place, making me feel extra secure. The front pouches are really useful, I put gum, wipes, and chargers in there My only problem with this bag is that the zippers are a little sticky, but I always got them to close. Really glad I decided on this bag, it has made my travel experiences a lot easier. Feels like a sturdy, well made bag. I will eventually be going camping and plan to take this with me.

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. Bought 2 pairs of these about six years ago to wear around the barn and working in the woods and running a sawmill. They have been just what my old dogs needed. Comfortable, good support without being tight but easy to slip on and off even with swollen feet at the end of the day. They have been stepped on by horses, had logs dropped on them, been buried in horse manure and mud and yet stayed reasonably waterproof with minimal care. Highly recommend for anyone who likes a pull on work boot.

I work for a passenger railroad as a Conductor and these boots are perfect. Very comfortable and the support and traction they give is outstanding. When you put these boots on for the first time they feel like you have already worn them before. The adjustable ICS system works very well too. They can be polished up to a good shine as well. For anyone who is on their feet alot at work and walk on uneven terrain, these boots are a must.

Best travel backpack I have purchased. Tough and durable, it is really well designed and assembled. Plenty of pockets, almost everything is secured behind a zipper. It fits easily under the seat on a SWA flight. Front pocket for your tickets, top shallow pocked for phone, wallet, and watch while going through TSA. Stands up and is pretty balanced. You laptop is very protected, especially if you drop the back pack off a chair or sit it down too hard.

Lap top fits easily in the soft line slot( This bag also can hold my MPC LIVE 2). If you 're looking for something with a lot of outer pockets, this is not the bag. Yet, it has enough interior space for a smaill travel bag or daily commuter bag. I like the minimal pocket design. Less places for me to forget things. Quality alone this bag would get 5 Stars.
