I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. I bought this recently after outgrowing a jacket I used for many years! I keep my jackets for multiple years and am very pleased with it so far. It ’s extremely cozy and warm and I get cold easily! I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. I am 5 ’ 6 ” and 170lbs of muscle with wider hips and shoulders- this jacket in a large fits perfectly with room for a hoodie underneath while not being too tight on my bum. The forest green colour is also beautiful and matches my green eyes but that ’s besides the point. I love it and hope it lasts many many years!

I wanted to leave a review for other petite mid- size women as it is hard for me to find jackets that fit without being drowned in sleeves. I ’ m 5 ’ 1 ” 155 lbs measurements 40- 36. 5- 41. 5( between US sizes 10- 12) I ordered a large because I wanted it roomy enough for a sweater inside but not so big I look like a potato sack. The Large met this need, I can wear it with just a base layer, when I hike in the winter and add a sweater if it ’s too cold. The sleeves because of the cuffed ends worked well for my short arms( usually large jackets the sleeves go past my arm or balloon so much in the cuff, this one didn ’ t). My gloves did not get “ pushed out ” by the sleeves Overall great down jacket for a petite mid size woman, worth the price

I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Still thinking it will work as a mid layer when I need it to.

Considering the numerous different fleece jackets I have tried on and own, this is saying something. It is a nice light weight for hiking in the Spring or for layering under a jacket in the Winter. [ I love this jacket and reach for it all the time. The fabric is much softer than my Arc ’ Teryx jackets which is maybe why I love it so much. The pockets are roomy and the hood is a nice close fit. This keeps me really warm, especially when I layer with wool underneath. I use it a lot during outdoor agility training with my dog and it also looks nice enough for everyday wear. [ All of my wife ’s coats were heavy, dressy- looking coats that weighed a ton. Because of her handicap, and difficulty walking, the heavy coats were a nuisance. I got her this Expedition Hoodie, and she has absolutely fallen in love with it. She was shocked at how something so light, could keep you so warm. [ Excuse my bluntness, but you may need to bury me in this jacket because I 'm never taking it off. It's beautiful and cozy, I 'm obsessed. I got the chalk ivory with camel brown- gorgeous. The dual fabric is a great touch, plus I did n't realize the inside is lined with excellent fleece and great stitching. This thing is perfect inside and out. The hood does n't have drawstrings but is small enough and zips up high enough that feels like it would stay up nicely in wind. Zipper feels a touch flimsy starting at the bottom. Pockets could use zippers, although without this does feel like it can pass for an indoor hoodie and not just a jacket, and the lined pocket flaps are cool. The brown windbreaker material at the sleeve cuffs might be nice because I worry the sherpa will get trashed quickly, but oh well. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I got a medium and it is plenty roomy( not too much) since my other medium product felt too small. Whoever complained about taking this in the rain... shame on you, this jacket does n't deserve that!
