I bought these in white in XL and then in black in L. I like pants loose at the waist and need a long rise. I also got the short length, which sit at my instep( 5' 4 ''). The black ones in the L fit better as to the rise and volume of the legs, but I prefer the looser waist on the XL. I wish designers would give up the hourglass myth of women's bodies: If one needs a L for the hips, one probably does not have a 32 '' waist. The drawstring makes these wearable. Both are comfortable, though, and very light. So I will probably wear the black ones out more, and keep wearing the white ones around the house. Very comfortable style and fabric. I find myself wearing these most days in the Florida warm temps. Very nicely made, as well. I marked `` runs small '' because the elastic at the waist, IMO, should be about 2 inches larger. This is my first free people purchase. They are very oversized. For reference I am 5 ’ 5 and around 145- 150lbs and I ordered a medium. I wanted the oversized look, but I could ’ ve gone with a small. I think because these are not meant to be high waisted, the waist is a lot bigger than it normally would be for a medium. I do have to pull them up really high and tie them tight with the drawstring, otherwise they will drag on the ground( So, good for tall girlies!). The fabric is light weight, which is what I wanted for the summer time. I also like how they look, just wish the fit was a bit better. For comparison, I also ordered the oversized Nike sweats in a medium and those fit perfect size wise. These are bigger than those. I bought the light grey in medium with the matching Nike tech oversized hoodie, and I tuck the bottom of the hoodie in to give it a baggy cropped look, with a pair of boots or my go to Nikes. This is my absolute favorite outfit and would buy it in every color if they weren ’ t sold out everywhere. Please please bring them back NIKE!! P.s. they do shrink after the first wash so don ’ t worry if they look super big in your normal size at first.

I was waiting for the petite sizing to become available and purchased the black and white pants as soon as it did! I ordered my usual size and it was a bit loose in the waist so the pants slide down to be more of a low rise on me, which isn ’ t a big deal because the loose fit in the legs is great. They still are a tad long( unless tied at a high rise level) for my 5 ’ 3 frame but it ’s manageable. I would really love if more colorways were offered in petite- these are not easy to hem because if the zipper and the regular inseam just doesn ’ t work for shorter people. [ These are stylish, stretchy and comfy shorts with a very modest length- they can be worn to the beach or out to a casual dinner. The waist fit is mostly TTS with some room unlike usual jean shorts- I ’ m usually a 27- 28 and got a 27 and have some room, but they aren ’ t about to fall down or anything. I also liked the off- white ones but decided I didn ’ t need two pairs of the same thing. Might regret later. Don ’ t miss out on these buttery Jean shorts!!

[ Very, very comfortable. Soft and stretchy. They look and feel high quality. Cute and appropriate for work. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” 155lbs, usually a size 8 or size 29/30. I bought a 29 and feel like they ’ re almost too big( which is rare for me). If you ’ re in between sizes I recommend sizing down. Overall worth the price!
