[ I bought these gloves at the height of winter and I have not looked back. They are extremely warm and keep your hands dry in every condition. They especially shined when it came to winter sports because any contact with the snow would previously give me wet, cold hands. There is no such thing with these with the combination of GoreTex and with the cuffs going up so high on my arm and being adjustable, wet hands and arms are a thing of the past. There are a number of handy features as well with finger holds on the outside of ring fingers make the gloves easy to remove even while gloved. The retention cuffs do their job well. I would recommend these for someone looking for a nice pair of gloves that wants to keep their hands warm and dry. They outperform everything else at their price point.

Sometimes you want a lighter, thinner glove that makes it easier to manipulate things in your pack, pull skins, dig pits, etc. Other days you want a glove that keeps you warm and dry when it ’s dumping and windy on the chairlift. These are those gloves. The inner liner can be pulled out to dry faster, and the long gauntlet shell keeps rain and snow where it ’s supposed to be. I supplemented the included Nikwax for better coverage and seam sealing. So far these are my favorite in- bounds gloves in years, better than the Hestras and Kincos I have used in the past.

These gloves were used on an expedition cruise to Antarctica where I did zodiac rides and hiking. They kept my hands warm in sub- freezing temps, no issue! They are bulky so you loose some dexterity, but that ’s just how it ’s going to be with these gloves. It was nice to be able to remove the GorTex outer and use the inner glove on more temperate days. Would recommend to anyone who needs a solid cold weather glove.

I got several pair of these gloves for snowboarding/skiing. They are very warm with they liners. We have only used them on days were the temps were in the 20's and we did n't need the liners. They are dry and I love the features such as the tethers and cuff cinch. They are bulky with the liners and tend to run a bit large. My 16 year old son wears the small and I can fit the medium. The mittens performed well above what I had expected. they are 100% wind proof and never let any moisture in. The most extreme weather I used them in was snowshoeing in- 25- 28 °F with a good 10- 15 mph wind. The mittens were so warm that at times I had to remove them so my hands could cool off. The recommended sizing for me was a M. I went up a size and they were snug, but very comfortable. The quality of these gloves are outstanding. I 've already recommended them to a few friends and family.

I have been using the OR Mount Baker mitts for the past decade and decided to get these for the really cold days. My hands are always cold but these could be too warm for many days. The Patrol gloves feel like a toned down version of the Guide gloves that I 've used extensively. The biggest difference is the shorter gauntlet and the insulation only covering the palm, where the insulated inner runs down over the wrist into the gauntlet on the Guides. Because of those differences the mobility is a bit better with the Patrol, they 're a less bulky/more packable and are n't quite as warm as the Guides.

I love these gloves. I am a ski patroller and need a warm and functional glove. The mission gloves provide the dexterity I need to manage a taboggan, ropes, and tools. I love the leather palms for gripping ropes and the Velcro wrist straps which keep the snow out and secure the glove easily under the cuff of my jacket. I bought these gloves last year for snowmobiling. The high cuffs are great for keeping snow out when I inevitably fall off the sled. They are thick enough to be warm and thin enough to maintain dexterity. I suffer from Reynaud's syndrome and these gloves keep my hands warm enough when combined with heated grips. When I 'm not using heated grips, placing hand warmers against my palms works far better than the pocket included on the back of the gloves.

These are super warm and waterproof! Been using them skiing and have had no issues with my fingers getting cold, but I will say I was blessed with warm hands. I recently used these gloves on two different 11- 12 hour hikes in chilly conditions. Temps were minus 12 F with wind chill at minus 20 to minus 30 F. These kept my hands warm from start to finish. Even with a good amount of hand sweat they still performed well and the gloves didn ’ t feel damp on the inside. I highly recommend these gloves.

Haven ’ t had a chance to wear them on the mountain yet, but they are extremely thick which hopefully translates to warmth. I ’ ve heard that black diamond quality has taken a nose dive, but these gloves seem solidly constructed with double or triple stitching along leather seams. [ For starters, Hestra ’s size selection allows for a more precise fit. Any 3 finger model is a slight compromise over a mitt for warmth, but you can always bring your index finger in as needed. They are reasonably warm, though not expedition gloves, and I expect to throw in warmers for temps in the low single digits( F), or below. The wrist/cuff adjustments function well. The soft leather makes for a very supple feel and were fairly nimble when tinkering with gear. The wrist strap/handcuffs were overkill for me and swapped with a traditional straps. Have n't owned long enough to attest to the durablity.

Great activewear. These are comfortably thin and breathable for active sports, e. g., ascent on splitboard, but still warm and protective in below freezing conditions. The reinforcements are well- placed for trekking pole straps. Reflective accents add visibility in low light.

The gloves do a great job lightly insulating, they are n't waterproof but still do a decent job keeping your hands dry. I 've hiked with them, they make good driving mitts too. They are pretty windproof too which makes them the most useful in colder windy weather. My only complaint is if you 're wearing a watch or some other form of wrist accessory, the wrist parts of the glove do n't do a great job accommodating for that. Other than that, great mitts.
