Bought these a month ago in my normal size womens 10. Had to send them back because my toes were hitting the ends. The size 10 women ’s was NOT a UK 8. 5 which it typically is and runs the same between sizes. The 10. 5 came and I thought they were too long but I walked around the house with a heel lock and they felt great. I ’ ve worn them about 15 miles so far and they are great. I feel the women ’s version runs 1/2 size small. My husband and I wear the same size. I usually have a women ’s 10 which is a men ’s 9. He bought his normal size 9 and I tried them and they are fine. The men ’s 9 IS a UK 8. 5 as usual! The shoe fits differently between men and women ’s sizes I ’ m not sure they even have the same last. This runs true for goretex and non gortex. Hopefully this helps.

These are an awesome sneaker. I love a slip on shoe and these allow you to have a slip on style shoe but still feel nice and snug with their lacing system. The padding around the ankle and heel is SO soft and comfortable. It feels like a tempur- pedic pillow for your foot/ankle. These are great for a trail but also just for normal walks or going around town. My only recommendation for improvement would be that the end of the laces/string bounces around a bit while you are walking. I have just been tucking them back under the laces to fix this but would be nice if there was something on the shoe that could do this for me. Either way, awesome shoe!

I just ordered my second pair of the Rubatos to replace the ones I ordered a year ago. I walk about 1- 4 miles a day and have worn these on about 66% of those walks. They provide plenty of cushioning and support. I can wear these for long periods of time without my lower back and feet hurting. Suggestions to make this the perfect shoe: a little bit better ventilation, a little more width in the toe box and maybe add 1mm to the lugs. The lack of availability in colors and sizes makes me think these are or will be discontinued:>{ I wish Merrell would make more zero drop shoes and sandals.

Simple great looking shoe. This might not be a shoe that I go hiking in. It is more so for short walks and kicking around shopping or a casual night out. It is a smaller shoe with not a huge cushion. I was really surprised how much I liked these. They were definitely a bit of an investment for me, but I wanted to get a pair of shoes that I could wear a little more often. I have worn these on a few light hikes on gravel with my dogs, two days in downtown chicago, 6 miles each, and i now understand what `` energy return '' means. These shoes give you some extra `` spring '' in the ball mound of your foot and feel really lightweight. I like the lacing system but I think people will overtighten these if they 're not familiar with how to use it. I have n't gotten them dirty yet- I do n't want to! They 're too pretty.

I purchased three pairs( tan, black, grey) of these in rapid succession because they 're so awesome. I 've been wearing barefoot shoes, minimalist shoes, or sandals since high school- so these were a natural choice. Superb comfort IF you 're used to barefoot shoes. There is no padding other than a thin layer of mesh on the upper. Vibram soles provide outstanding grip and feel. And the soles are super flexible and nearly weightless. Alongside my Vibram FiveFingers and Furoshiki's, these are THE best barefoot shoes on the market. My only two critiques: 1) The mens sizes, especially need more color options( orange, please?? 2) The 'leather' version of these are far inferior to the mesh version. The upper is stiff and do n't stretch. Not criticisms, but know before purchasing: 1) If you 're not accustomed to barefoot shoes, these will be horribly uncomfortable initially. Go slowly and your feet will eventually feel better than ever before. 2) They offer NO water or splash protection. If there's more than 1/2 '' of water on the ground, your feet will get wet. BUT... this is fantastic as workout shoes because they dry super fast and do n't stink. 3) I would n't recommend these for hiking on uneven ground unless you 're prepared. Every sharp point will go straight through the sole and you will feel it. Know what you 're buying. If you 're new to barefoot shoes, Merrell has better options for beginners. If you 're looking for the best 'normal' looking barefoot shoes on the market, these are hard to beat.

As someone with a lot of foot problems, finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and that look nice had been a challenge. After trying similar LL Bean and Timberland shoes, I finally got the Moab 3 from Merrell. After 4 years of daily use and frequent outdoors activity including outings with my son's scout troop, the upper started to crack where my foot flexes. The sole and lining was still in good condition with reasonable wear. With a rainy camping trip looming, I got the replacement pair and have been just as happy with the new shoes as I had been with the old ones. These are fantastic shoes that offer great stability, decent protection against water, and great comfort.

I wore these for several hikes including the challenging Kalalau trail on the North shore of Kauai and the Captain Cook hike on the Big Island. They served me well with good traction and good fit( I bought a half size larger than I typically wear to allow a bit of wiggle room). I washed the red dirt of Kauai off pretty easily with just water and left them in the sun to dry. They dried relatively quickly. These are waterproof and while I did n't submerge them in water, my feet stayed dry after crossing a few streams. Overall, these are terrific hiking boots! The only downside is my feet did get hot hiking in the 80 degree weather so maybe not as cool as some other styles, but I was having so much fun hiking, this was barely noticeable! They 'll be perfect for hiking in my homestate of MN!

Loving Merrells again! For a bit the toe box got too narrow so i just wore my old ones till the bottoms wore through and muddled through with cheap ahoes till now. These are extremely lightweight and comfortable for me. I ’ m pretty thin though, and I can see why some say they have trouble fitting with wider feet/ankles. The shoe has no tongue, so it doesn ’ t splay open as far as other shoes. If you have big ankles and/or wear your tennies wide open& untied, this shoe will not work out for you. This is for people who cinch& tie their shoes so they can be active without them falling off. If you ’ re going to give these a shot, know that they are oddly small in length relative just about any other shoe of the same size. I ’ m a size 12 through and through, but these in the same size were tight. The toe box is smaller than normal. Also you need to take into account feet swelling and perhaps thicker socks. I wore these for the first time all day hiking around Grand Cyn Village. I was surprised there was no uncomfortable rubbing or stiffness which is very common with new hiking shoes. Love my pair of Bravadas. They are super comfortable, light, and great for walking the dog, working out, and short hikes. I really like that the tongue is sewn in and doesn ’ t move around, it makes it feel like more of a slip- on. And it ’s sturdy enough around my bad ankles without being super stiff. They ’ ve lasted me about a year and a half with tons of use in the spring through fall( they aren ’ t great for wet or cold weather). These have become my go to shoes. I teach elementary school children in an outdoor classroom and wearing hiking boots can get kind of cumbersome. After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

I 've always loved Merrell shoes and I do love the Moab Speed 2s I purchased and if I was to change anything it would be I should 've ordered a half- size bigger, I ordered a 9. 5 but should 've gone for a size 10, they are a little tight but I think over time they will stretch. They do n't cause discomfort unless I tie my shoes really tight so I avoid doing that. The only other thing is that the laces are too short I find.

I have been a loyal Moab mid boot wearer for years, having owned and worn through 12 pairs or so. The Moab Speed 2 shoe was a game changer for my feet. I usually suffer from some typical small hot spots during multi- week backpacking trips, but these shoes were an absolute dream on a 26- day trip on the John Muir Trail. The breathability of the non- waterproof shoe is excellent, but they also held up incredibly well against the rough granite of the Sierra ’s. I will absolutely be buying this shoe again!
