I have use this backing for my Rio fly lines for 15 years or more and been very satisfied. In the past, however, I bought the line in bulk spools of 300 yards, which was considerably cheaper on a per- yard basis. As a general comment, I 've been disappointed to see Dick's carrying so few fly fishing products. Sort of forces us fly fishers to buy online or from specialty fly shops.

Ive been using Topknot for over 5 years now on all my baitcasters that hold fluorocarbon. Ive tried many different mainlines and cant seem to find a major difference between them. Not only is Topknot strong and durable, it is also cost effective. I really do n't understand why anyone would use a different product. I ’ ve used a number of fly line cleaners made by various companies, some quite expensive, and just OK and others that didn ’ t work well at all. The Perfect Hatch Line Cleaner is the real deal.
