For the first couple of weeks after wearing them all day my heels would hurt, but since I wore them everyday and broke them in as quickly as I could they are the most comfortable boots I 've ever had.

Bought 1907 ’s about 3 weeks ago. Break in is no joke. Wear them around or house or short trips to town for the first week. After the first week they started feeling better and now 3 weeks in I ’ m wearing them everyday. Feel great. The copper rough and tough was great visually for me, but they ’ re actually tough too. I ’ ve already accidentally scuffed them a few times, and it sort of just blends in with character. Don ’ t recommend them for marathons or hiking, but for normal daily work or just casual wear, I highly recommend. Sizing- get whatever feels snug, not tight enough to make your toes go numb. I ’ m almost just over 10. 5 on the Brannock. I got a 10 at the recommendation from the store. Should ’ ve done a 10. 5. The 10 ’s work but I prefer a looser fit. Will do a 10. 5 next time- yes I like them enough I ’ ll get another pair eventually to baby for only weekend wear.

I got a pair of these three years ago, and my relationship with them got off to a rough start. Full disclosure, I ’ ve recently come to realize my feet are unusually shaped — with protruding heals. That didn ’ t bode well for wearing these boots out of the box. They have triple- layered heals, which are quite rigid and caused me many blisters. Because of the blistering, I wore these seldomly and broke them in very slowly. Over time, however, they molded to my feet, and the heal area stretched out to accommodate my knobby heals. They ’ re now my favorite footwear, and truly a pleasure to wear. Was it worth all the pain? Considering I ’ ll have these boots for many years — if not decades — I say yes. The same tough leather and heavy- duty construction that made these so hard to break in will also make them last forever. In this day and age of cheap, mass- produced goods, it ’s nice to commit to something for the long- haul — even if it requires some sacrifice initially. I ’ m excited to keep wearing these boots, have them further mold to my feet, and keep adding patina to them.

The boots fit me well( run a little big, but not a con) and the inner sole is almost heavenly. I work in a warehouse where i stand on concrete 8 hours a day. I normally add an extra insert for added support, but there really is no need for these boots. While mainly for work, i definitely want to get the most out of these boots, but i must say that these particular boots i have are not cut out for hiking. Not a con in the least bit, though a bit of a bummer in the long run. So after spending about 40 hours over a few days in these boots, i am very happy with my georgia boots.

I had a pair of Carhartt boots prior to these and the carhartts only lasted 6 months. I 've had these Timberland Pro's for almost 3 years now. They break in fast, comfortable to walk in all day. They 're really warm in the winter, not too hot in the summer. Very good water proofing. Slip resistant is very good for oils, hydraulic fluid, fuel, aircraft de- ice fluid. There are only 2 complaints I have; the oem laces are complete trash and so are the oem insoles. The soles lasted me only 8 months and laces tore in like 6 months. Buy better insoles and Kevlar laces. I 've dropped parts& tools on my foot and did n't feel a thing. These are also really good boots for welding and using cutting torches. 10/10 must have boot for mechanics. UPDATE 7/20/24: the boots are STILL GOOD AFTER 4 YEARS of daily abuse in all climates and conditions. These are the only work boots I will buy the rest of my life. UPDATE 11/23/24: The boots lost their waterproofing. Ordered a new pair. I will forever only buy these Timberland Boondock boots!!

On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I love them so much i have pairs for work and everyday wear. I ’ ve worked for the Water company where i live and not really being “ water proof ” i still wore them and they would hold up for 6 months or so. I worked commercial construction and these have held up to walking and climbing up and down all day. Will wash them down and then apply mink oil paste to the leather. I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. I ’ d recommend them highly since I haven ’ t had much issues with them besides the two mentioned and have found them super comfortable

These boots are ok, just not what I thought they were. The leather in the pic seems to be the softer suede type material, but they are actually the slick type of leather that is very stiff. They do not have the broke- in feeling right out of the box. Because they are stiff it's not that easy to lace them up tightly. The sole seems very comfortable, but I do n't think I 'll keep them.

[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

These are very comfortable boots.. They fit and feel like sneakers but have great ankle support. I do busway work for power plants, which requires a lot of climbing and crawling and these boots have held up very well over the past three jobs( total of almost six 70- ish hour work weeks) so far with no signs of degradation. They are lightly insulated for the waterproofing, so I think they could get a little warm for the hot and humid months.

I bought these boots three years ago to use exclusively for hiking. The break- in was painful but quick. Once broken in they feel like slippers. So much so that I wear them everyday as my work boots. I install landscape lighting daily and I ’ m not kind to these boots. Three years later they are still performing better than any boot I ’ ve ever purchased. The soles are almost slicks but every morning I put these slippers on and go to work.

Hike 6 miles per day. Half asphalt and half gravel. To Date= 54 miles in these boots. Break in took 40 miles. Cons: 1. Blister: Still have Blister on right heel. 2. Ankle: Inside Right ankle was sore through 40 miles. This was due to rubbing up against part inside ankle padding that attaches outside Hook Eyelet. Pros: 1. Sturdy- No breakdown of any material or stichibg above the sole 2. Comfortable- After break in period of 40 miles, ankle pain went away. Hard to tell boots are even on during each hike. 3. Sole- Slight wear on heal and outside ball- nothing significant 4. Grip- excellent. I do have to go down hill on 20% grade for 70 feet on loose gravel, no slip Overall 1. I Recommend these boots 2. Water Resistance=??- No rain or puddles where I live yet
